The Perfect App Doesn’t Exist in Quick Commerce! Be it Swiggy, Zepto, Blinkit, Zomato, bigbasket.com etc... Every app will be at level-0 when they launch and they (above Qcomm Apps) have grown to be next to perfect with time, experience and persistence! Consumers demand near-instant delivery of goods, the pursuit of a “perfect app” is particularly challenging. Quick commerce apps, designed to deliver items like groceries or medicines within minutes, face a unique set of expectations that make achieving perfection nearly impossible. Additionally, the complexity of partnerships with local retailers and delivery personnel adds another layer of unpredictability. Inventory discrepancies or miscommunications between app systems and local stores can result in cancelled orders or wrong items being delivered. Medstown® - 30mins medicine delivery is LIVE (In Tolichowki, Hyderabad only) but as day-1, we have learned so many new things that can be done to improvise customer experience! We look forward to make medicine delivery a cake walk for our INDIA! #jaihind #medstown #swiggy #zepto #blinkit #zomato #hyderabad #india #quickcommerce #delivery #30mins

Swiggy, India’s leading on-demand convenience platform, today announced the launch of Swiggy UPI, integrating the National Payments Corporation of India’s (NPCI) UPI plug-in solution to deliver a faster in-app payment experience for customers. With this integration, users can now complete UPI transactions without leaving the Swiggy app, reducing the payment process from five steps to just one. This new feature powered by Juspay’s HyperUPI Plugin, significantly streamlines the overall payment experience by eliminating the need for the redirection to third-party UPI apps. Anurag Panganamamula, Head of Revenue and Growth at Swiggy shared, “We are excited to introduce our UPI experience to our customers. This feature aligns with Swiggy’s mission to enable unparalleled convenience to consumers as UPI emerges as one of the most preferred payment methods. I have made an order today from Swiggy worth 770 Rs. Order id is 186248131663207 I made full payment and placed the order at 20:57. The app showed that it would deliver by 21:50. And then the order was processed by the retailer. Sadly no one was assigned to pickup the order. At 22:10 the order was still waiting for pickup. I contacted swiggy help, and there the representative said that the order will not be delivered as there was no delivery partner available. He then without my permission cancelled the order and processed the refund at 22:20. From the time of 20:57 a consumer waited till 22:20, but still the order was not delivered. The time was wasted, and I don't know about swiggy but my time was valuable. Also now I cannot even order from some other app, as it was already 22:20. If you cannot fullfill a delivery then why did you take the order. Also why it will take so much time to cancel the order? I have attached chat screenshot for your reference. Seems like Swiggy is lacking behind in their algorithm or customer policy. They should have cancelled instantly. As I said earlier, you guys have wasted my valuable time, so as an Indian citizen it is my right to aware all the citizens not to use swiggy. Thank you, Arnab Sarkar #swiggy #swiggyorder #swiggyordercancel

Swiggy Restaurant Owner App on iPhone can not receive orders, because they say "India main logonko parvadta nahi hei, so we did not make that feature!" And the solution they offer? "Andriod nahi to web login use karo" Seriously ???? Sriharsha M., Nandan Reddy, Rahul Jaimini - is this you are raising Billions via IPO that you can not afford to have a team that can build the most critical feature in the iOS app for restaurant owners? I have been chasing the Swiggy Support for days now to get the Order notifications enabled, as I am not getting notified when new orders come - and can not accept them, losing on my business. No wonder why Deepinder Goyal and his team Zomato are growing faster in the market ,winning more share. As they grow in size, Indian startups are becoming more and more ignorant about their customers :( So sad... #customersupport #swiggysupport #swiggy #help #

Why Swiggy Instamart is getting hatred over its new partnership with Hamleys? Swiggy Instamart , a quick commerce app, partners with Reliance Retail owned Hamleys to deliver high quality toys in under 10 minutes. The use for q-commerce is increasing by the day. Not because we need it, but because we're forced to need it. It's not like we don't have grocery stores near us, or we can't keep these things stocked. It is the availability of everything at one place that attracts us. 👉 Being a parent I don't use q-commerce apps. You unnecessarily increase your cart value and end up buying things you don't even need. With Swiggy Instamart joining hands with Hamleys, a lot of people are saying it's not a good decision because this isn't a necessity. ❌ It's a luxury!! Should these q-commerce apps focus more on essentials like medicines instead of items like toys? 📌 What are your thoughts on this? #swiggy #instamart #hamleys #reliance #partnership #trending

💥Swiggy’s Super App Gamble: Lessons from India’s Market Swiggy’s super app strategy, combining food delivery, groceries (Instamart), and errands (Genie) in one app, aimed to streamline customer experience and cut costs. However, real-world challenges in India’s dynamic market have tested this vision. The Key Roadblocks ... ⚡Consumer Love for Dedicated Apps : Indian users prefer specialized apps for distinct needs. Even with apps like WhatsApp offering payments, most people choose Paytm for recharges and BookMyShow for movie tickets. This preference has fueled Zomato’s success with its focused apps, leaving Swiggy’s multi-service approach struggling to gain similar traction. ⚡Scaling and Profitability : Swiggy’s slower expansion into smaller cities left room for Zomato to seize these growing markets, adding to Swiggy’s uphill battle with profitability. Additionally, recent leadership shifts have raised questions about Swiggy’s stability and future direction. ⚡What’s Next for Swiggy? As it gears up for its IPO, Swiggy’s journey underscores the importance of aligning strategy with market behavior. Embracing India’s preference for specialized solutions could be a game-changer, helping Swiggy balance ambition with sustainable growth in this competitive landscape. It has been scorching heat outside, and I have been thinking about delivery partners at Zepto, Swiggy, Blinkit, etc. Often, when a delivery partner comes to deliver an order during the daytime, I notice they are dehydrated and exhausted. I can't imagine working all day in this heat. Offering them a glass of water is great, but how can we be even more considerate? I have tried to avoid ordering between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. for the last two months unless it's urgent. This is when the heat is at its peak. These apps should consider making this time a rest period because it's extremely hard to go out in the middle of the day in such scorching heat. Most orders during this time are not essential; they are just groceries, not medical/emergency items. I recommend that these apps take some measures to address this issue. I'm also open to other suggestions on how we can be more considerate toward delivery partners and make their lives a bit easier. Most of us work in comfortable, air-conditioned environments, but that's not the case for them. So, any ideas on how to help would be appreciated.

Online food ordering and delivery company Swiggy has added a new feature to its app - the Incognito mode. This new feature allows you to confidently place orders that will leave behind no order history on the Swiggy or Instamart app. How will this feature help? For times when you do not want to share your orders with family or friends, such as ordering a cake for a surprise birthday party or a discreet purchase of a personal wellness product, the Incognito mode can be of use. Using the Incognito mode will keep these orders out of the app's history and there will be no need to delete them manually. To use this new feature, simply activate Incognito mode via a toggle in your cart. Once activated, a reminder will appear, confirming that Incognito Mode is on. After the order is delivered, it will remain trackable for three hours, allowing users to manage any post-delivery concerns. After that, the order is discreetly hidden from the order history, ensuring the purchase remains private. Dear Swiggy, your Instamart team did something good (for me). They sent me an extra packet of milk. Ordered 3 half litre Pouches of Amul Taaza, got 4 of them instead. Although that 4th packet is like a hidden surprise for me, but we do know it is going to cause some loss at your end. How do I pay you up the extra 27 bucks now? There is no provision on the app. You can check with your #product team how this can be sorted considering it being an operational heavy task to run the dark stores, such errors might happen. There may be short supply of items at times, but like today there may be an excess supply too. And in such scenarios, genuine users (like me) may want to pay you up for the same. So, kindly consider this request to include some means for payments in case an excess item has been sent accidentally and that the 4-5% genuine users want to make use of same. The LinkedIn family may agree too ..... #ObservationsBySid #InsightsBySid

A Swiggy Instamart user in Bangalore sparked controversy with a social media post alleging variable pricing. The user noticed a price discrepancy for the same grocery item when ordering from the app on two different devices (Android and iOS) at the same location. This raised concerns about potential unfair practices and a lack of transparency. The user clarified that no promotional codes were applied, but the possibility of automatic discounts on one account remains unclear. Swiggy has yet to provide a comprehensive explanation beyond their initial response on the platform. This incident highlights the growing public scrutiny towards pricing algorithms used by online delivery services. Last week Zomato was in news for launch of Group ordering feature. However they were not the first one to launch. Swiggy had a 3 days lead and as per their blog and 6% of all orders were group order in the weekend following feature launch. Looking at the social media chatter and news article, Zomato seems to be a clear winner of group ordering feature, but alas... they have staggered rollout plan and even at the point or writing, I still don't see the feature available in their app. Coming back to feature... there were initial hiccups, as every one has to update their Swiggy app to have the group ordering feature. After app update it worked like a breeze. The eternal question remains... how do I collect money from everyone... back to Splitwise Inc. #swiggy #zomato #groupOrdering #foodtech #productmanagement #productlaunch #b2c
