Top tips for newbies starting to fast: 1️⃣ Start slow, trying gradual restrictions and fasting/eating windows. 2️⃣ Stay consistent in your chosen windows once you get the hang of it. 3️⃣ Pay attention to what you eat in your eating window, focusing on nutrient-rich food that will sustain and energize you. 4️⃣ Be patient with yourself as you transition toward longer fasting windows. 5️⃣ Remember that everyone is different, and it takes time for the body to adapt. 6️⃣ It's up to us to decide what works best for our body in terms of how long to fast and whether to continue fasting at all. #intermittentfasting

SNACKS What's your go to snack type when you're feeling stressed / anxious / overwhelmed? 🍿Crunchy 🥑Soft 🥨Chewy 🍨Smooth Deep pressure is calming and regulating to our body and mind. Did you know your jaw has a lot of deep pressure receptors? Chewing activates those receptors. So crunchy/ chewy snacks can also help you feel calmer and in a better state to interact with others and to feel calmer and more in control. I used to keep a bag of sugar snap peas in the work fridge. A quick, easy and crunchy snack in between clients to help me regulate myself. What's your snack of choice when you're feeling stressed? Will you give crunchy foods a try? #occupationaltherapy #regulation #sensoryregulation #nervoussystemregulation #nervoussystem #calming #deeppressure #proprioception #relationships #crunchy #snacks #safe #understandyourself

🍷 Here’s why the weekends are secretly making you fat 🍕🥤 You’re in a calorie deficit all week, crushing it with your meals and sticking to your 2000 calories a day like a boss. But then… it’s the weekend. Drinks with friends? Sure, why not! Boom there goes a few hundred calories (represented by marshmallows, obviously). 🍬🍷 You get home. And suddenly a salad doesn’t seem like the move. Nope, you’re all about that late-night Burger, fries, and of course… a Diet Coke to ‘save’ calories. 😂💀🍟🥤 (Because that totally cancels out the burger, right?!) Here’s the kicker: You’re doing great 95% of the time But it’s that cheeky 5% tipping things over. If this sounds like you, try this: think of your calories on a weekly basis, not just daily. Pull back a bit during the week so you can enjoy those weekend treats without blowing your progress. 🙌✨ It’s all about balance – a little flexibility goes a long way to keeping you on track while still living your life. 💪🔥 #fatloss #diet #caloriesinandout #fitnessjourney
