The creative process is 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘆 - it's NO double diamond. But in our opinion the double diamond is the best way to navigate the mess. You just need to remember it's an abstraction to aid your thinking, not a description of reality. Two halves: 1. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 – picking the right problem to solve. 2. 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 – designing the right solution to the problem. Each of these halves has two main phases: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗔. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 – understanding the problem space that users face. 𝗕. 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 – narrowing down on a specific problem to solve. 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗖. 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – generating potential solutions to the problem. 𝗗. 𝗜𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – iteratively improving and shipping one particular solution. The four phases alternate between divergent and convergent ways of working: • 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 (Research & Ideation) – opening ourselves up without limits to understand the full spectrum of possibilities • 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 (Focus & Iteration) – focusing on and refining one particular idea to make it as tight as possible Ground rules for being creative: • 𝗛𝘆𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 & 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 - it's easy to get lost looking for perfect knowledge, but uncertainty remains. Have a hypothesis, learn more, and act. • 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 - working with others gives you better solutions and more buy-in • 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻-𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 - create user value to create business value • 𝗜𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 - this isn't a linear process. You go backwards and forwards and round and round. Full article on Hustle Badger here: https://lnkd.in/e6cddPSv

The Right Process: Speed vs. Heart—Which Side Are You On? Let’s be real: every business has one mission—bringing ideas to life. But why do some ideas fizzle out, even when they seem brilliant at first? It's not always about the idea. Sometimes, it’s the how that makes all the difference. There are two main ways to turn your dreams into reality: building fast or building with heart. Both work, but they serve totally different vibes. Building Fast is all about getting stuff out there, like yesterday. You start with a simple version, throw it into the world, and let the feedback roll in. It’s all about speed, testing, tweaking, and adapting quickly. If you’re the kind of person who loves moving fast and getting results without too much delay, then this one's for you. But then, there’s Building with Heart. This one’s deeper. It’s about really understanding the people you’re creating for. It’s empathy, getting into their minds and feeling their struggles before you even think about your solution. You go slow, brainstorm ideas, test them, and refine over time. It’s not about rushing; it’s about creating something that truly connects. If you’re in it for the long game, making a real impact, this is your lane. So, how do you pick? If you need quick, flexible solutions, go for speed. But if you’re here for something more meaningful—something that speaks to people’s hearts—take your time and build with heart. The bottom line? Innovation is more than just having a cool idea. It’s about how you bring it to life. Whether you're all about that hustle or you’re here to make deep connections, your approach will define your journey.

Recovering Perfectionist (me too!)? Try these 4 steps to transform your business. As a recovering perfectionist, I learned the hard way that "progress over perfection" isn't just a catchy phrase—it's a survival strategy for startups. Our team adopted this mantra, and it transformed our business. Thanks to @mounika.studio - when I spotted this image it summarised our approach: 1. Execute more, think less ➡ Embrace "good enough" solutions to move forward ➡ Set daily execution goals and track progress ➡ Use the 2-minute rule - if a task takes less than 2 minutes, do it now 2. Start more, delay less ➡ Accept that imperfect beginnings are better than perfect plans ➡ Break large projects into small, actionable steps ➡ Don’t wait - launch first and refine with more data/feedback later 3. Focus more, distract less ➡ Use the Pomodoro technique: 25 minutes of focus, 5 minute break ➡ Dedicated focus time in morning; meetings in afternoon ➡ Use website/phone blockers during focused work periods 4. Do more, say less ➡ Create a weekly "action report" showcasing concrete achievements, not plans ➡ Replace lengthy meetings with brief stand-ups and immediate task execution ➡ Adopt a "show, don't tell" approach - demonstrate progress through prototypes and iterations For fellow perfectionists in the startup world, remember: every "less" leads to a valuable "more". Progress is about consistent forward motion. These strategies helped us value progress over perfection, and it made all the difference. Your imperfect action today is the foundation of your success tomorrow.

We often get bogged down searching for 'how' to accomplish our goals, but the real breakthrough comes when we deeply connect with the reasons behind our actions. If you’re emotionally invested in an outcome, if it pulls at your heartstrings, you’ll find a way. You’re resourceful and resilient – you’ve navigated challenges before and found solutions. Feeling unmotivated or stuck in a cycle of procrastination? It’s time to revisit your 'why'. Maybe it’s about refining your business to eliminate recurring problems, or creating a venture that thrives without your constant intervention – imagine the freedom and satisfaction! 💪🚀 #movingbusiness #movingbusinessadvice #movingleads #movingcompanycoach #movingcompanymentor #millionairemover #louismassaro #movingmastery #movingsales #movingmarketing #moverslife #movingbusinessmentor

Ah, business development — that misunderstood art of creating something out of nothing, like a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat. But let's not get too romantic. It's more like herding cats while juggling flaming swords on a unicycle. Do you know that feeling when someone says, Hey, let's touch base ? Congratulations, you've just entered the Twilight Zone of vague business jargon. Sure, everyone wants exponential growth, but does anyone mention the sleepless nights? The countless cold calls met with the deafening sound of crickets? Didn’t think so. Here's the secret sauce to not losing your sanity: - **Be Curious:** Ask the right questions even when you think you’ve got the answers. - **Stay Edgy:** Disrupt the norm because the norm is boring, and no one likes boring. - **Embrace the Chaos:** Learn to love the unpredictable – it's where the magic happens. Let’s be real, if you're not a little bit scared, you’re doing it wrong. Finding opportunity in chaos isn’t just a skill; it’s an art. And lucky for us, every artist needs a little madness. Ready to dance on the edge? Let’s talk. 🌟📈🧐 https://lnkd.in/emdgfXDV #BusinessDevelopment #Innovation #EntrepreneurLife #GrowthMindset

You've probably heard this before: "Do things that don't scale." Well, I'm here to tell you that's only half the story. Yes, in the beginning, you should focus on the non-scalable things that help you perfect your product or service. You should hand-craft the experience for your first customers, learn from them, and iterate quickly. But the goal isn't to stay there. The goal is to take what you've learned and use it to fuel your growth. That's where scaling comes in. You need to figure out: 1. What's working? 2. Why is it working? 3. How can we do more of it in a scalable way? This could mean: - Building systems and processes - Hiring the right people - Leveraging technology - Expanding into new markets The key is to maintain the essence of what made you successful in the first place, even as you scale. It's not easy. In fact, it's one of the hardest things you'll have to do as a founder. But if you can pull it off, the rewards are massive. So, yes, start by doing things that don't scale. But always be thinking about how you can start doing things that do. P.S - The meme below is for entertainment purpose. That's my reflection for today, on day 260 of building Social Sculpt #socialsculptjourney #365daysofwriting #personalbranding #scaling #businessgrowth

Don't let anyone tell you something has to be perfect before you release it! Perfection is a growth killer! Come at me 💪 It's really easy to fall into the "perfectionism trap". Trust me, though, it suffocates the creativity that drives our business forward. Perfectionism demands predictability but 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘆. I'll trade perfection for progress every day of the week! #Founders and #CEOs, our greatest ideas often come from imperfect attempts. Don’t let perfectionism stifle your team’s creativity or delay your business’s growth. Start projects, release products, launch that website, Don't wait - DO IT NOW! *** I help remind founders that starting with a gritty V1 is better than waiting on the perfect thing. If this sounds like you, DM me and let's chat.

I'm a perfectionist at heart. So "good enough” has been the bane of my existence. As a perfectionist, I always want to do more for each project. Tweak it. Hone it. Try it in a different way. But there comes a time when “good enough” IS perfect. Learned that the hard way. In the past, I've created campaigns and workflows that we’re so complex, that I had to run them myself. I was the only person in my business who knew how a certain campaign worked, how it failed, and how it needed me to live on. It was job security if I had a job. But it created a bottleneck for anyone else in my business. And that was the problem. It was too complicated. Complexity kills. Simplicity scales. When you’re building a machine for your business, lean into “good enough.” Because that will be perfect. #entrepreneur #lean #perfectionism --------------- 🤜 Agree? Let me know with a 👍. ✍ Are you a perfectionist? Why or why not?
