🩸 Donated Blood – And Learned Something Cool! 🩸Stephanie Edra thank you for organizing this event! I had the privilege of donating blood in partnership with Stanford Blood Center at the Hyatt Centric. Not only was it an important experience, but I also learned something fascinating that I wanted to share. Turns out, my blood type is O-, and apparently, that makes me a universal donor! 🩸🔄 It’s pretty rare, though, which means it can sometimes be harder to find donors with compatible blood. So, of course, I couldn’t help but ask: Do they save O- blood for other O- people? 🤔 Her answer blew my mind: Nope! O- blood is actually used in emergency situations, especially when babies are born and their blood type isn't yet known, or in trauma cases when there's no time to check blood types. That O- blood is a lifesaver when every second counts. ⏱️ It’s incredible to know how something as simple as donating blood can make such a huge difference. If you’re eligible, I encourage you to donate too – you never know who’s out there needing your blood. 💖 #BloodDonation #UniversalDonor #SaveLives #StanfordBloodCenter #DonateBlood #ONegative #EmergencyCare #LifeSaving #HyattCentric

Here’s the greatest gift you can ever give to your grandparents: A book about them! Imagine capturing the story of how they met, their early years together, and all the timeless memories that have shaped your family. A true celebration of their lives. Let’s break it down: They raised four amazing children, who went on to bless them with ten grandchildren. Now imagine each child and grandchild writing about their favorite memory—no more than 1,000 words each—of a moment they shared with them. That's 14 chapters filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. Plus, two more chapters dedicated just to their remarkable journey together. This is more than a framed picture from a family picnic or a family tree with just dates and dashes. This is an emotional tribute, a heartfelt message from each child and grandchild telling them exactly how much they've meant over the years. It’s the story of their legacy, in their family’s own words. This is a gift they will hold close to their hearts for years to come. At Our Legacy Book Series, we specialize in capturing these memories and creating a stunning, personalized keepsake book—a treasure that will live on through generations. When’s your grandparents' next anniversary? Or maybe a family reunion? There’s no better time to start creating this unforgettable gift. Let’s make sure your grandparents receive something truly meaningful. Reach out today and let’s get your book started! Their legacy deserves to be remembered, and you have the power to make it happen.

Forget your wins they no longer serve you. Last Friday, I had the privilege of speaking to a support group of foster parents—a group of incredible people doing courageous work with some of the most vulnerable among us. It was an empowering yet challenging conversation. One of the key takeaways was the importance of learning to let go of our successes. Why? This allows us to: • Stay present on the task at hand • Bring our entire selves to the work • Be attuned to the needs of those around us • Resist comparison that can easily derail our efforts • Find closure to our losses, while staying hopeful for tomorrow's victories At the moment, letting go of our trophies can feel debilitating. But our hope lies in something that will one day outlive us, not our aging victories. ---- I hope this post was helpful! If so, please comment with your thoughts. I cover 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 at work. Follow me and click the bell for more guides like this on your front page!

Great to be back again serving as emcee at the 17th Annual Hearts of Texas Luncheon, honoring Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Randy Bowman, Community Partners of Dallas and the Lewisville ISD. Volunteerism transforms lives! Thanks to Volunteer Now CEO, Rachel Currie Triska, for inspiring her incredible team. Americans gave 4.1 billion hours of service to humanity as volunteers last year. There's nothing more impactful than making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. As I share in my keynote address: "Live your life as a go-getter, yet, forever share your life as a go-giver."

🌍 Today, on the Global Day of Parents, let's take a moment to appreciate and honor the incredible role parents play in shaping our lives and society. 🙌 💖 Parents are the unsung heroes who selflessly devote themselves to nurturing, guiding, and supporting their children every step of the way. They are the ones who teach us life's most valuable lessons, instill core values, and provide unwavering love and care. 👨👩👧👦 Whether biological, adoptive, or chosen, parents are the foundation upon which we build our futures. They are our first teachers, cheerleaders, and protectors. Their sacrifices often go unnoticed, but their impact is immeasurable. 🌱 Today, let's not only celebrate our own parents but also acknowledge and express gratitude to all the parents around the world who strive to create a better future for their children. Let's remember those who have lost their parents and offer them support and compassion. 💪 As professionals, let us also recognize the importance of work-life balance and support policies that enable parents to fulfill their responsibilities both at home and in the workplace. Legacy is more than financial assets—it’s the values, traditions, and memories we pass down, the pieces of ourselves that live on. For many, this time of year can also bring the weight of loss and the absence of loved ones. Yet, the true power of a legacy is in how it continues to shape us, even when those who created it are no longer here. Here are a few ideas families have shared that may inspire you to start some new traditions: • Family Recipe Book: Collect cherished family recipes and print them in an 'Official Family Recipe Book.’ • Annual Family Reunions: Gather regularly at a favorite spot to strengthen bonds and create lasting memories. • Volunteer Together: Each Christmas, pick a family in need of support and teach the value of giving back. • Holiday Crafting or Baking: Bake the same sweets or craft ornaments each year to create tangible memories. The most important legacies are built on love, traditions, and unforgettable experiences—those precious pieces that live on beyond us. What traditions do you hope will continue with future generations?
