Training like this is essential for every leader. The way that ‘difficult’ conversations are framed and managed to address underperformance can make the world of difference to both leaders and members of their team. As important as it is to be liked by your team, it’s more important that you’re respected and without mastering the skill of having these difficult conversations how can you maintain high expectations and keep everyone on-board?
