Terraform Workspaces is a solution for managing multiple environments within a single Terraform configuration. You can create a workspace for each environment and switch between them using the terraform workspace command. Workspaces isolate their state, so they don't interfere with each other. Here are some other ways to manage multiple environments using Terraform: Terragrunt: A Terraform wrapper that reuses Terraform configurations and automatically manages backend configurations Git branches: Use one branch per environment Environment-specific directories: Maintain separate directories for each environment and its respective Terraform configurations External tool: Use an external tool to handle environment-specific variables or configurations You can create a new workspace for a staging environment by running the following commands: # terraform workspace new staging # terraform workspace show You can switch between workspaces through the "terraform workspace select" command. This practice ensures that your Terraform configurations and state files remain segregated for each environment.
