We’ve all been there: you mean to acknowledge your team’s hard work, but before you know it, another day, another week, another project has passed. That’s why we created the 𝗛𝗼𝘃𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 🏆 This annual tradition is about more than diplomas and speeches. It’s about standing in front of the entire company – whether gathered in Køge HQ or joining remotely from Germany, France, and Switzerland – and saying, “𝗪𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂. 𝗪𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂.” Each manager took the stage to honour their team members, highlighting how they embody our core values: ✨ 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 – always striving for better. ✨ 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 – lifting up those around them. ✨ 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 – solving challenges in smarter ways. ✨ 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 – the foundation of how we work together. When recognition is given 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆, it leaves a lasting impact. It’s a simple reminder that behind every great result are the 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲. #TeamHovmand #Respectful #Compassionate #Innovative #Ambitious

"What is it with you Germans and the tracking of the tracker?" - Amazing cultural learnings 🇩🇪 🇸🇪 At first glance, many European cultures might appear similar. However, sometimes we need to look closer to uncover the nuances. I faced this challenge while enabling a technology transformation in a multicultural setup where Sweden and Germany played pivotal roles. Here are three noteworthy differences: 1. Status Reporting We Germans love our milestone tracking, with traffic lights and detailed task updates. However, I discovered that my Swedish colleagues prefer a more trust-based approach with less formal feedback on progress. And it works. 2. Leadership is about consensus, not directives In many cultures, a strong directive leadership is appreciated for providing clarity, responsibility, and efficiency—a mindset I generally do share. However, I learned that in Sweden, there’s a greater emphasis on challenging directives, engaging in discussion, and striving for consensus. This collaborative approach fosters stronger outcomes and deeper commitment from the team. And it seems to work even at scale! 3. Cultural Differences backed by research Discovering all this along the way made me curious and I did my research. In fact, scientifically, there’s substantial data highlighting how these two cultures differ. While intercultural studies often reflect specific bubbles and should be interpreted cautiously, the Hofstede Cultural Dimensions model (freely available online, see link in comments) clearly illustrates the contrasts between Germany and Sweden in at least two critical dimensions. What do you think? Does this align with your experiences? #leadership #management #culture #sweden #germany

How do you get 20+ Business Development Managers quiet? It’s not an easy task🤭, but last week in Barcelona, we made it happen! Humberto brought together our entire global Customer Relationships & Sales team to align on the ambitious strategy for 2025. While our team is thriving (they’ve exceeded the targets—together!), reaching the next level requires collaboration, focus, and planning. But here’s the thing: before you plan for the future, you need to pause. Pause to celebrate the milestones already achieved. Pause to reflect on how you can grow further—not just individually, but collectively. A simple yet meaningful exercise helped them to do just that. It encouraged to recognize their own strengths and, even more importantly, to acknowledge and celebrate those of our colleagues. In doing so, they were reminded that recognition isn’t just a feel-good moment; it’s a powerful force. It builds trust, connection, and the motivation to achieve even more—together. I’m incredibly proud of this talented group and honored to support the CRS team in GreenPowerMonitor, a DNV company. Our 2025 journey has just begun, and I can’t wait to see what they will accomplish as a team💚 Our rockstars🤘🏼🎸 Caridad, thanks for co-designing and co-hosting this session! #BusinessDevelopment #Leadership #Strategy #Recognition #Teamwork #SalesExcellence #GrowthMindset #Barcelona Humberto Roca, Todd Miller, Jacqueline Sukhlall, Víctor Jado Moreno, Elia Paula Diaz, Laura Casla Zarraga, Dirk Oehlmann, Peter Kobliska, Tor Blackstad, Manu Llenas, Ricard Gasch Domenjó, Daniel Torres, Isaque M., Josep Berengueras, Sergi Bosque Garcia, Robin Sharma, Teresia S., Jonghwa Park, Malgorzata Bartkowski, Miguel Mateo García, Manuel Pérez

Channelling my inner rockstar at our recent #TIOInternational conference in Sydney. What an incredible night with an incredible group of people. Here’s the truth behind the photo, because I don’t know who needs to hear this today…last month marked five years as CEO of TIO International for me. Leadership often seems like it demands charisma, unwavering confidence, and immediate answers. I’ve come to realise that this isn’t natural for most, and it certainly wasn’t for me. When I started, I had no significant background in marketing or as a CEO. I struggled at times, doubting my abilities and feeling like I didn’t have all the solutions. Even now, I feel the nerves before stepping on stage. But I’ve learned that this is part of the journey. Over time, I’ve learned to trust my instincts, knowing that with the right intentions, intellect, and experience, so much is possible. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved and excited for what’s ahead. Here are three principles that have guided me through these past five years: 1. Surround yourself with a great team – a team that complements your strengths and empowers each other to thrive. 2. Embrace mistakes – they’re part of the growth process. 3. Remember you’re here for a reason – trust in your knowledge, your expertise, and the difference you make. Here’s to the journey and the growth along the way. Happy Friday! #TIOInternational #Fridayphilosophical

Here is why you should turn up the volume on your career: Own Your Expertise: You have spent years sharpening your skills, mastering software, and perfecting your craft. It is time to showcase that expertise proudly. Whether it is your aptitude for spreadsheets, your prowess in project management, or your finesse in communication, let the world know what you bring to the table. Visibility Breeds Opportunity: In a vibrant office environment, it is easy to blend into the background. But when you amplify your achievements, share your successes, and contribute your unique insights, you stand out. Inspire Others: Your journey, challenges, and triumphs can inspire your colleagues. By speaking up about your career, you show them what is possible with dedication, perseverance, and a dash of ambition. Be the catalyst for growth and ambition in your workplace. Networking Power: Making noise about your career is not just about self-promotion; it is about building connections. The more you share about your professional journey, the more likely you are to connect with like-minded individuals, mentors, and potential collaborators who can propel your career forward. Continuous Growth: Your career is not static; it is a journey of constant growth and evolution. By vocalizing your ambitions and aspirations, you signal to your peers and superiors that you are committed to advancing not only yourself but also the goals of the organization. Elevate Your Value: When you make noise about your career, you are not just talking about yourself; you are showcasing the value you bring to the company. As the academic year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on one of the most rewarding experiences I've had—being the team lead for the project with Earth Building UK and Ireland Ltd at 180 Degrees Consulting Bristol 💫. It was an incredible journey where we successfully met our key deliverables: ✅ Enhancing Corporate Funding: We developed a framework to identify and recommend corporate partners whose values aligned with EBUKI’s mission. ✅Social Media Engagement and Strategy: We conducted an in-depth analysis of EBUKI's social media presence and provided actionable recommendations to increase engagement and reach. ✅Crafting a Compelling Corporate Pitch: We worked on building a powerful narrative that showcased EBUKI’s impact and the mutual benefits of forming partnerships. A major highlight of this project was working with the passionate EBUKI team. Their dedication to creating sustainable impact was truly inspiring, and their collaborative approach made every meeting feel constructive and meaningful. It was a pleasure to work alongside a team that was so invested in making a difference. I also want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible team: Laura Hull, Riya Gulati, Zhengyang Wu, and Charmaine Sew. Their creative inputs, hard work, and unwavering commitment were key to our success. Each brought a unique perspective and energy that made this project not only successful but also deeply enjoyable. A standout moment for me was the opportunity to collaborate with Baringa, with valuable guidance from Charlie Worsley and Michael Tonhaeuser. Their feedback on client communication, tone, and approach to different types of questions was eye-opening, and those lessons are something I’ll carry forward in my career. This project was not just about meeting deliverables but also about personal growth, collaboration, and learning. It reminded me of the power of partnerships and the meaningful difference they can make when aligned with a greater purpose ✨💫 #Consulting #Leadership #Teamwork #SocialImpact #Collaboration #Growth
