Yesterday, the European Parliament welcomed industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to the European Hospitality Day to exchange and discuss about the future of our sector. 𝑯𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒂𝒚: ✅ An inspiring keynote address by Commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas on the importance of aligning sustainability with competitiveness for tourism and hospitality. ✅ Engaging exchanges with Christel Delberghe (EuroCommerce) and Veronique Willems (SMEunited), exploring strategies to empower small businesses in our industry. ✅ Impactful roundtable discussions, moderated by Dave Keating: 🔸𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 Exploring strategies to enhance competitiveness for hospitality SMEs by addressing VAT, reducing administrative burdens, improving recruitment processes, and facilitating legal migration. 🔹𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 Shaping a resilient and sustainable future for the sector through circular economy practices, energy efficiency, and supportive policies for sustainable tourism.
