Part 2: What is your take on celebrity endorsements? A week ago, we began a discussion on celebrity endorsements and how brands can choose to have a celebrity vouch for them or not. We got a comment that mentioned - ‘There are millions of people with best discoveries and inventions but they have no clue how to get their IDENTITY.” Very True! There are a lot of small brands with great products or services that struggle with the same - building their identity. And as a healthcare brand, especially being into aesthetic treatments, this is so true for us. We provide remarkably good services to our patients and have quite a lot of patient testimonials as proof of this. But sadly, word of mouth is not easy in a segment like ours. Even if patients get great results, it is hardly spoken about due to the judgement that society holds for services like ours. Will celebrity endorsement help break the taboo and encourage people to speak for brands like ours? Might not be entirely. It can serve as a brand recall factor but not for long-term brand building. This brings me back to what brands should do - building the identity. It is various strategic elements and consistent efforts over time that will help. And definitely, it will not happen in the wink of an eye. It is going to take time. However, certain aspects can accelerate the growth and visibility. A few key ones are below. 1. Ensuring that the purpose, objectives and actions of the brand align with the fundamental beliefs of the brand and how that adds value to the customer. 2. A strong brand voice - the tone and style of communication that encapsulates the brand’s essence. 3. Consistently great customer experience. 4. High-quality offerings that engage with customers and foster loyalty. 5. Continuously improving and innovating to stay relevant.
