"Employees who feel their opinions aren't valued lose motivation to perform well. ~ Will Guidara" Check out this book recommendation from a fellow hospitality enthusiast! Will Guidara's book on "unreasonable hospitality" takes service to another level. But what sets this book apart is the insight into Guidara's leadership style and his mentorship from his father. The book also touches on his relationship with his mother, making it a truly inspiring read. Highly recommend for anyone in the hospitality industry looking to up their game! #HospitalityIndustry #UnreasonableHospitality #Leadership #Mentorship

You are not what you say you are. You are what you do on a daily basis. So if you want to be a great leader, you must act like a great leader. But what does that look like in practical application? Today we find out. I had the pleasure to chat it up with Josh Kopel of Full Comp to discuss common paths to leadership and the tactics, tools, and strategies I've developed over decades to transform my restaurant family & colleagues into high performance teams. You can pick up the book, Every Leader Needs Followers, wherever books are sold. #manageleadcoachrepeat https://lnkd.in/euXDvhec

Great leadership starts with preparation. In my catering days, mise en place—“everything in its place”—turned chaos into harmony. Now, it’s one of the foundations of my leadership style, helping teams tackle challenges with confidence and clarity. In my latest article, I share how this culinary principle applies to building effective strategies and leading teams. Happy employees mean happy guests. It may seem obvious from the outset, but years of experience in the restaurant industry only reinforces this core business philosophy. In practice, the lessons here also tie directly into the value of servant leadership. When leaders put their team first, the team learns to put the guest first. After all, smiles are the only thing more contagious than Happy Joe’s 🍕. #Restaurant #Leadership #ServantLeadership

A strength I gathered from all of these institutional Restaurant CEO strategies was the importance of the entrepreneurial mindset. If I were to add anything to this discussion, it would be how entrepreneurship is closely connected to servant leadership and a broader social good. When you as a leader aim for what's best for your team, the team is inspired to aim for what's best for the guest, and the guest is inspired to aim for what's best for the world just like we do at Happy Joe's 🍕. No leadership hack or strategy substitutes being a good person. #Restaurant #Leadership #ServantLeadership
