Sponsored AR filters have been launched by Snapchat as a new advertising option for brands. These filters enable branded overlays for users' images, incorporating links to promotions. Unlike full AR experiences, sponsored filters require less effort, as existing assets can be utilised and Snap's templates accessed. Using Lens Web Builder, these filters can be created in under 10 minutes without additional production costs. Various templates for face filters, location-based overlays, and more are offered by the tool. While sponsored filters may not garner as much usage as AR filters, they still offer a way to boost exposure and engage with Snapchat users. Awareness can be driven through in-stream CTAs, and existing Lenses can be complemented with these filters.
