“Somatics itself was an incredible way for me to manage what I understood the symptoms of ADHD to be. Somatics lends itself very well to the topic of neurodiversity.” Nathan Blair shares his history managing his ADHD diagnosis and how an introduction to mindfulness launched him on a new path to connecting with the present moment through his senses. I have ADHD. This is how I successfully meditate everyday👇 I came up with 3 questions that I answer and revisit DAILY, before and during my meditations. This has been a GAME CHANGER for me and my ADHD clients! 💥3 Questions to failure-proof your meditation: 1️⃣ What kind of learner are you 2️⃣How distractible are you right now? 3️⃣ How do you want to feel about yourself after the mediation? → Your answer to 1 shouldn't change too much. → Your answer to 2 will definitely fluctuate and help you determine whether you should pick a style of mediation that day that either has more or less potential distractions from you goal, in your answer to question 3. → Your answer to 3 will determine the the structure (if any) and context of details you shift your awareness and focus towards. Still confused? It's okay. I'm a visual learner, so a lot of these concepts I'll also explain in pictures #Igotyou 👈👈😉 Follow along and start YOUR personalized & FLEXIBLE Dynamic Meditation journey 😬 Xo, Carolyn Your Rebel Therapist ❤️🩹 📍Cut to the chase Therapy in FL, NC, & RI, that works like upgrading to a kickass Wi-Fi connection @emdr.carolynleelmhc www.carolynleelmhc.com [email protected]

🚫Rejection, Rejection, Rejection 🚫 Nobody likes it! And for us ADHDers, it can hurt a whole lot more since we suffer from a condition called Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (Otherwise known as RSD). 🧠The reason why we struggle with RSD is due to the fact that we have an impacted executive function, which makes it hard for us to regulate our emotions. However, it is also due to our environment! By the age of 12 we have 20,000 more negative comments than our neurotypical peers! 🔑 This is why communication is key! ⚠️ Whenever I am feeling a RSD hit, I send my family a message with the code R&R Rosie and RSD) or Gary (Gary gets involved is back) . 💪This way they know how I am feeling and are able to support when things get hard. 🧡Talking about RSD is so important. 🧡 How do you talk about your RSD with your friends and family? Sending you so much love as always, Rosie xxx ⭐⭐1-1 Coaching for Sept x 3 spaces left - https://lnkd.in/epcXEnUE ⭐My Group coaching program goes live in September 👉🏻https://lnkd.in/ejEszKQW ⭐My ADHD training for Yoga Teachers here 👉🏻https://lnkd.in/efqchccr
