I feel sleepy while reading Trailheads 😴 Confession time! I love Trailhead’s content, but sometimes those modules feel like they’re trying to lull me into a nap. Anyone else struggling to keep their eyes open through the marathon text? 🙋♂️ Here’s what’s been keeping me awake (mostly): Trailhead has amazing stuff, but let’s be honest: pages of text can feel like a bedtime story. I was missing out on the good stuff until I found a trick that totally changed the game! Meet my new “Trailhead Narrator” – MacBook’s “Speech > Start Speaking” feature. Now, I just sit back and let my laptop read the modules to me. It’s like a mini audiobook, minus the dramatic sound effects! My eyes are thanking me, and my brain actually retains more. Win-win! 🎧 And here’s my pro tip: don’t aim for perfection with every module. Trailhead likes to repeat key ideas across different modules, so I focus on the main points, answer the questions, do the exercises, and move on. By the time the same concept pops up a few times, it’s already sinking in! Anyone else tried this? Or have other survival tips? Please share – my attention span needs all the help it can get! 😅

Habit-stacking will revolutionize your day-to-day life. Often it seems near to impossible to build in time for personal growth. And it can be - if you only do things one at a time. However, I was introuced to habit-stacking a few years ago and it has had an incredible impact on my growth and my time. Here's a couple of my favorite habit-stacks: - I have to drive to the office anyway, so while I drive, I can put on an audiobook that's been on my list. - I have to consistently create video content, so while I take my morning walk or ride around the farm, I can take 1 or 2 minutes to record something I've reflected on. What's your favorite habit stack?

Can you build a mountain of metaphors? 🏔 That's the #writing exercise for July. Pick an abstract word like freedom or vacation or summer, and come up with as many metaphors for it as you can. Go for at least 10. Have fun with it. Here's one I wrote for vacation: Vacation is listening to an audiobook on the road. It’s a roadside milkshake blended with chocolate, cherries, and anticipation. It’s sitting on a deck and staring at the trees. It’s that mystery you’ve been waiting to read. Vacation is drinking an iced coffee without worrying about falling asleep at night. It’s walking in the woods on a path you’ve never seen before. It’s warm breezes and sore legs, moon rises and star gazing. Try it yourself and see what happens.
