What will be there?? Anything in about all-caps today? How many ‘high priority’ messages… 10 or more? And the real question underneath it all: How can I just get on with what I need to do? The answer? Rules, categories and flags. RULES: Automatically move ‘noise’ messages to a folder for reference later, if needed. CATEGORIES: Tag and easily identify related messages so you can work on similar tasks together and stay in flow. FLAGS: Set priorities and give yourself deadlines, so that you have control over your action list, and the order in which you tackle that mountain. Corporate Learnings from a kid's story ➡️ Here are the 3 prominent ones: 📌𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐝 - Even if you feel that there's no one around to misuse it. Snatchers are omnipresent! Little did the cap-seller knew that there are so many monkeys on the tree, planning to take away all the caps!! 📌 𝐀𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲s 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞. 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬! - Try plan A, plan B, plan C. Innovate. Repeat. Do you need to plan yourself a VIP day? When we want to create something new in business, we start with the best intentions. But more times than not, our current schedules overtake the time we need to consistently create that new thing. We can start with small steps, time block our calendar and turn our phones off to focus, but sometimes we go back to what’s comfortable. A fully booked dairy of 1 to 1 sessions can be tiring. Even more so when in between delivering to clients, you are lumbered with endless live launching to fill up your diary. This can be an endless ‘hamster wheel’! Unfortunately you can’t scale this business model! I was in this position a few years ago. Lots of 1 to 1 clients! But I didn’t want to sacrifice my client’s results. So, I created a group mastermind that I ran in cohorts (which meant the structure had a definite start and end date). However, this wasn’t the solution either! It still kept me in endless launch cycles and stuck: Why? Well, if I wasn’t able to produce enough sign ups through my quarterly launch, it caused not only a dip income but also pressure and frustration. There had to be a better way! ….and yes there was! I implemented an ‘Evergreen Group Programme’ alongside ‘Evergreen Launches’. And this is what happened: My community of clients was growing much quicker because I was visible on auto-pilot It freed up an enormous amount of time because I didn’t have to re-invent my marketing campaigns over and over again. I could spend more time with my family, was more happy and creative so was able to supply better resources & results for my clients. I was able to focus on quality and not quantity. Because I started to enrol fewer clients but more consistently (as opposed to launch every quarter or 2 x year with pressure), I now had a regular lead and sales flow. I was overall a much more happy and relaxed person without the pressure and the frustrations because now I was more in flow and in alignment. My clients got even better results when I taught them my systems as they too wanted a more consistent lead flow and be more ‘hands off’ in their marketing but focus more on their client work. When I stumbled into this beautiful shop, the options were so overwhelming that I couldn't make a decision. I needed help with understanding the options. The same thing happens in figuring out what to do next on your to-do list. With that, here are providing 5 things you can do this week to focus your practice growth and jump into some new conversations (without overthinking it): 1. Clear off your desk. The clutter often gets in the way of spotting opportunity. 2. Connect with a former client. Reach out to someone you haven't worked with 2024, but really appreciated the work and opportunities when they were a client. This isn't the time to pitch for work, but jumpstart the conversation with a simple check-in email. 3. Explore collaborations. Think about all the colleagues you have that work with similar clients. Make a plan to sit down and collectively brainstorm how you can collaborate to bring in more business, or deepen the work you do for existing clients. 4. Get up and away from your desk. Take a walk, grab coffee, or make a lunch plan. Invite a colleague, mentor, or friend to join you. A new view and interesting conversation are sometimes all it takes. 5. Clean out that inbox. Set a timer for a 5-minute triage to just see what conversations and connections are waiting for you. Decide to follow up on at least 2 before you shut down and start working on something else. What’s the secret to starting your week with a boost of motivation and a feeling of having all your ducks in a row…🤔 Well imagine logging in at 9:30am to a group of smiling cheerleaders, all giving you a welcoming nod with their cup of tea/coffee in hand ☕ and feeling ready to kickstart the week with a boost of motivation and a plan. 📌 For me and all my clients, the first call in our diaries is our weekly membership meeting.
