Operation Christmas Child," a project run by Samaritan’s Purse. Each year, this initiative encourages individuals and groups to fill shoeboxes with gifts for children in need across the world. What started in 1990 with a handful of boxes has grown into a global movement, delivering millions of gifts to children in over 100 countries. The real magic happens when these boxes not only bring joy through toys and school supplies but also deliver messages of hope and love, often including notes from the givers. Many children receive their first gift through this program, and it's a reminder of the impact of generosity and kindness during the holiday season. Share this story & let's keep on giving.

🌟 Our Heroes: Families & Educators Carrying the Weight of Early Childhood 🌟 Every day, families and educators work tirelessly to ensure that children under five receive the care, attention, and support they need to thrive. These heroes are on the frontlines, shouldering the immense responsibility of early childhood development. But without the necessary resources, support, and guidance, many children—especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds—can slip through the cracks. The challenges are even greater for those who face heightened needs: Low-income families who struggle to afford quality early education. Young and new families navigating the complexities of parenthood with limited support. Educators who dedicate their lives to our children’s futures but lack access to the financial, educational, and supportive resources needed to provide the highest quality care. 🚨 We must do more. By standing with these families and educators, providing them with the tools and resources they need, we can break the cycle of disparity and ensure that every child has an equal chance to succeed. Join us in supporting those who support our children. Together, we can create a stronger, more equitable future for every family, every educator, and most importantly, every child. 💪👶❤️ Donate to FirstSpark today: https://lnkd.in/ej6xEYUF"

Welcome to June! Here are three things you can do this month to advocate for the girl child: 1. *Write Encouraging Letters*: Reach out to girls in your community or through organizations that support girl children. Write letters of encouragement, letting them know they are capable, strong, and valued. 2. *Support Education*: Donate books, school supplies, or even your time to tutor or mentor girls. Education is a powerful tool for empowerment, and your contribution can make a significant difference in their lives. 3. *Raise Awareness*: Use your voice on social media or in your local community to highlight issues affecting girls. Share stories, facts, and ways others can get involved in supporting and advocating for the rights and opportunities of girl children. There are countless ways to pack an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. 1. First off, choose which gender and age group you want to do, and then decide on a “WOW Item.” This could be a (deflated) soccer ball, stuffed animal, nice outfit, etc. 2. Then, decide what other items you’d like to add: school supplies (pencils, pens, markers, notebooks, rulers, etc.); personal care items (bars of soap, toothbrush, brush, wash cloths, etc.); other small toys/activities; clothing items/accessories. 3. Finally, include a personal note. The personal note is an awesome opportunity to tell them you care about them, are praying for them, and that there’s a God who loves them. It is fun to include a picture of you/your family, your email address, or any contact information you feel comfortable sharing, as it’s possible to have ongoing communication with them! Candlewood is generously providing the boxes and covering the shipping donation for the first 1000 boxes, so all you have to do is fill the box! Learn more about Operation Christmas Child here https://lnkd.in/gHbEBwcq ** Please remember to bring your shoeboxes to church on Collection Day - Sunday, November 24.

Some of us are blessed to wake up on Christmas morning with a room full of love, laughter, and family. The call of our children early in the morning, their voices full of energy and excitement. For me, it’s my very most favorite holiday for those very same reasons. I love traditions and more than anything I love my children and seeing their smiles on Christmas morning. Not everyone has this privilege. Think about children who have been recently removed from their homes, feeling uncertainty, feeling lost and a terrible feeling of grief, not knowing what has happened, not understanding why they are suddenly in a strangers home. Not understanding why “Mom” is not there, wondering where their brother or sister went, why are they not together? Confused about how nice the people are in this new home, but sad because it’s not their home, it’s not their bed, they don’t have their favorite comforting blanket and plush toy. The smell is different, the food looks different, it’s not what “Mom” cooks. Just imagine… This is the feeling of the hundreds of children placed in Foster Care and Residential homes everyday. Its not much compared to all that they have lost, but together we can help share a little joy during the most magical time of the year. Together we can make wishes come true and hope that in someway we have touch the life of a child when they need it most, together we can make a difference! Let’s spread joy together! When participating in Secret Santa you are helping a child in need, who like other children, have wishes and “maybe” a little hope. Interested? Email [email protected] with your interest. We will do our best to match your preferred age and gender. You can help by requesting one wish list and purchasing items on the list. Each wish list is written by each child/youth. I have to say - full disclosure- its fun to see how creative children can get, but sad to see wishes you can fulfill, like “I wish I could see my dad” or “I want to be with my sister”. Other ways to help is making a monetary donation (we do the shopping for you), hosting a toy drive or giving tree, or purchasing an item (or a few) from the Secret Santa Amazon Wish List. Have any questions? Lets chat! To learn more about Helix Human Services and the children and families we serve: www.HelixHumanServices.org To make a monetary donation or learn more about Secret Santa visit: https://lnkd.in/e5MEGNST To see the Amazon Wish List visit (remember as wish lists come in the list of items increases): Link coming soon. Thank you for helping make wishes come true!

🎁 Spreading Joy: The CHRISTMAS Child Shoebox Mission 🎄 As the Christmas season approaches, it’s a beautiful time to reflect on the spirit of giving. One remarkable way to make a lasting impact is through the CHRISTMAS Child Shoebox initiative—an act of love that brings hope and joy to children worldwide. Why Join the Shoebox Mission? A small box filled with essentials, school supplies, toys, and personal notes can transform the life of a child in need. This initiative not only meets physical needs but also shares the message of God’s love. Inspiration from Scripture “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” – Acts 20:35 “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40 “Every good and perfect gift is from above.” – James 1:17 A Few Thought-Provoking Quotes "No one has ever become poor by giving." – Anne Frank "The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away." – Pablo Picasso Benefits of Participating 1. Teaches Compassion: Encourages empathy and generosity, especially in children. 2. Strengthens Communities: Brings people together for a common cause. 3. Shares the Gospel: Provides an opportunity to introduce children to the love of Christ. 4. Inspires Gratitude: Reminds us to appreciate what we have. What Do People Say? A recent survey showed that 85% of participants felt spiritually enriched after contributing to shoebox campaigns. Many also noted how it deepened their faith and connection to God’s mission. How You Can Get Involved Pack a Shoebox: Fill it with age-appropriate items and include a personal note or prayer. Pray Over It: Ask for God’s blessing over the box and the child who will receive it. Volunteer: Join a local church or community center coordinating the distribution. This Christmas, let’s unite as instruments of God’s love and touch lives one shoebox at a time. Remember, no gift is too small when shared with a big heart. Together, we can make this season truly magical for countless children. Will you join the mission? Blessings, Pastor Avinash Singh New Delhi, India

Out of all the causes I care about, children hold a special place in my heart, and here's why. There's something about their innocence, curiosity, and resilience that inspire me to do everything I can to support them and I believe that supporting children - both boys and girls - is crucial for building a better future for our world. On this Children's Day, I need to remind you that these children you see are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers of our world. They have the potential to bring about positive change and make a significant impact. However, many children worldwide lack access to basic necessities like education, healthcare, and safety, hindering their growth and development, and ultimately affecting us all. So, what can we do today to support children worldwide? We can: • Donate to organizations providing educational resources and support to underprivileged children • Volunteer at local schools or organizations working with children • Advocate for policies prioritizing children's education and well-being • Mentor a child or young person in our community Whether you're a parent, educator, or simply someone who cares, every effort counts. P.S. Share your thoughts and ideas in the comments below on how we can support children and ensure they receive the education they deserve. P.P.S. Repost to support a child.
