We are happy to announce our Inaugural Summer Food Drive! 🌞 Help us reach our goal of feeding 100 families this summer! 🌞 As summer rays blanket the landscape, the challenge of food insecurity intensifies for many individuals and families. ◾ With schools closing for vacation, the safety net of school meal programs disappears, leaving children at risk of going without nutritious meals. ◾ The soaring temperatures amplify the strain on limited resources, making it difficult for vulnerable communities to secure consistent access to fresh, wholesome food. ◾ In our current economic climate, more families are facing food insecurity than ever. Surprisingly, this often includes households with two working parents. As we savor the flavors of summer, let's also turn our attention to the urgent need for community-driven initiatives, support networks, and sustainable solutions to ensure that fewer people go hungry during these sunlit months. This morning, we're kicking off day two of our 2024 Food Sovereignty Summit with the panel, "Addressing Systemic Bias in Philanthropy: The Importance of Funding Native Communities." As we know, Tribes and Native-led organizations have historically received an underwhelming amount of support and funding which has only been on the decline over decades. That's why we're engaging a panel of foundations to have a conversation on the importance in funding Native-led and grassroot community organizations or Tribes. #FNDIFoodSummit

There are a lot of people who inspire me, and it would be fun to highlight them all. As I’ve made no secret, Taylor Swift is up there on my list. While there are many reasons she is an inspiration for me, including her drive, authenticity, and business acumen, one of the things that stands out the most is how she uses her platform for greater good. A great example is how she has approached her worldwide Eras Tour, which will continue through the fall. Taylor has genuinely connected with local areas throughout the tour—and not just in the way she puts on a show. She has donated to food banks in the cities she’s performed, inspiring a flurry of donations from her fans.    Not only has her leadership helped food banks expand their reach, but it’s raised awareness about increasing food insecurity around the globe. In fact, during her stretch in the UK, Taylor was praised for doing more than the government to help combat food insecurity, with one organization quoted as saying she donated enough to provide 10,800 meals!    Yes, Taylor Swift has a huge platform. But thanks to social media, we all have a platform and the ability to extend our influence. It doesn’t matter how large or small our platform is. What matters is how we put that platform to use. From women’s rights to poverty to animal welfare, when each of us calls attention to the issues we care about, we can bring about a better world.    What causes inspire you?
