🌍 Moving to Germany from Bangladesh involved a lot of shopping, and I wanted to avoid spending a fortune on products which is made in Bangladesh. Instead, I decided to buy a variety of reasonably priced items from home. Moving abroad can be a real challenge, especially with all the searching and carrying heavy shopping bags, which can be quite painful during long walks. To make my shopping experience hassle-free, I add a simple extension for my shopping bag which also found in the market. Not only did it make my life easier, but it also brought some laughs during my time in the market! I hope this idea can help others in similar situations. 😊 #MovingAbroad #ProblemSolving #ShoppingSolutions #BangladeshToGermany #CreativeSolutions #DeveloperLife

Should the Government Step In to Support Kirana Stores Against Quick Commerce Disruption? The traditional Kirana stores in India have been an essential part of our daily lives, providing convenience and accessibility to local communities. However, the rapid growth of quick commerce platforms is changing the retail landscape. Reports indicate that over 2 lakh Kirana stores have shut down, as customers increasingly turn to online platforms for quick and easy purchases. This shift raises an important question: should the government introduce policies to support these small businesses? Kirana stores are the backbone of our local economy, offering a personal touch and deep understanding of community needs. As we move towards a digital future, it’s essential to find ways to protect these stores and help them adapt to the changing market. Let’s appreciate and support our local Kirana stores, and start a conversation about policies that could keep them thriving in a digital world. 1. #love 2. #instagood 3. #photooftheday 4. #fashion 5. #beautiful 6. #art 7. #photography 8. #happy 9. #picoftheday 10. #cute 11. #follow 12. #tbt 13. #followme 14. #nature 15. #like4like 16. #travel 17. #instagram 18. #style 19. #repost 20. #summer 21. #instadaily 22. #selfie 23. #me 24. #friends 25. #fitness 26. #girl 27. #food 28. #fun 29. #beauty 30. #instalike 31. #smile 32. #family 33. #photo 34. #life 35. #likeforlike 36. #music 37. #ootd 38. #follow4follow 39. #makeup 40. #amazing 41. #igers 42. #nofilter 43. #dog 44. #model 45. #sunset 46. #beach 47. #instamood 48. #foodporn 49. #motivation 50. #followforfollow

River Island's India Fiasco: Time for a Fashion Reboot? British giant River Island's 2014 foray into India wasn't a hit. Various factors didn’t work then: Pricing: Generally catering to a mid-range market globally, Indian consumers are often very price-conscious and value for money is a major concern. Was #RiverIsland just too luxury for Indian online consumers in 2014? Timing mishap: In 2014, the primary appeal of online shopping in India was the option of COD. India is the only country that works extensively on the COD model for e-commerce. We were still getting use to trusting the process, let alone making a semi luxury purchase. Design Sense: Offering an 8-month winter collection in a predominantly warm country. All these reasons contributed to probably why one of the most beloved British brands didn’t win in India. But wait…River Island's 2014 Indian adventure (with Jabong) needs a refresh, and the answer might be in their most popular category – bags! Here's why bags are a perfect re-entry point - Masstige Appeal: RI’s most popular category will potentially resonate with Indian consumers. The design and pricing of River Island bags align with the needs and expectations of Indian consumers, while still maintaining a masstige appeal. Remember how your first few luxury purchases are always accessories rather than mere clothing. Capitalize on this appeal. Lower Investment: Compared to clothing, bags are a less expensive entry point for the brand, allowing them to test the waters without a huge upfront investment, especially when it’s a reattempt. #RiverIsland #FashionReboot #TechInnovation #Masstige #IndianMarket #FashionIndustry #Ecommerce #Myntra #RelianceRetail #RetailStrategy #MarketEntry #BrandRevival #NykaaFashion #Vogue #VogueIndia #BusinessOfFashion

Attached image is from BRAC-Aarong Bangladesh's premier lifestyle retail chain. With Eid, the country's largest religious festival, around the corner, Aarong's stores are bustling with customers. Despite its relatively high prices, the brand continues to attract the urban middle and upper-middle class, positioning itself as an aspirational lifestyle brand. Aarong's unique appeal lies in its commitment to promoting Bangla culture and supporting local artisans. Founded in 1978 with just a handful of artisans, it now champions over 75,000 artisans, impacting the lives of more than 325,000 individuals. With 28 stores across Bangladesh, including 14 in Dhaka, Aarong has become synonymous with quality craftsmanship and cultural richness. The brand's success is evident in its remarkable milestone of surpassing 1,100 crores in revenue for the year of 2022, boasting an impressive annual growth rate of between 15% and 20%. With a staggering 68% share of the handicraft market in Bangladesh, Aarong has demonstrated resilience even during global financial downturns. As an enthusiast of consumer behavioral patterns, the key takeaway from Aarong's story for me is that investing in the aspirational value of a brand yields significant dividends over time, particularly in emerging economies like Bangladesh where customers will have an increasing amount of disposable income with the country's economic growth. Let's applaud Aarong for their commitment to promoting local culture and supporting artisans, while also achieving remarkable business success.

Update - My Order Status - Shiquo wa Hii Styles - 12 days later, no delivery I promised to give you my experience after testing the Hii Style products moto moto deals. ●Order placed on 27 October. Items included Nairobi and China ones ●Notification was issued that the order would be delivered in two batches. Nairobi items in 5 days and China items in 40 days ●Their website is very fast and efficient. It is straightforward to navigate and includes a lot of goods. Ni kama ile ya shein. ●They have partnerships with almost all psvs to allow for a country-wide delivery. I paid for delivery when booking the cost is very cheap. ●I received a message with a tracking number saying my Nairobi items would be delivered using the matatu of my choice in 5 days. I was also given a tracking number and link. ●The order has been showing in the queue for packing for 12 days every day. They had promised to keep updating on the progress. But woi, zero ●They have a tab to call us which I have been trying to call since after 5 days which was the promised delivery date. Nasikitika is my best friend. The number seems to be out of service. ●I went online again and tried calling the website number. Mteja is my new cousin Wadau, it sasa, looks like I must physically go to the shop and queue for hours to follow up. Who has ordered through the website and delivered the goods as per the tracker? Is there a need to be worried or I wait for 40 days? #thegirlfrommbeere

Counterfeits go beyond harming the economy. Just like what’s happening in Türkiye. The iconic Grand Bazaar, once a haven for traditional Turkish crafts, is facing an identity crisis. ➖Luxury fakes dominate as the ornate alleys are now lined with cheap imitations of designer goods, pushing out heritage products. ➖Long-time merchants lament the decline of unique crafts and the bazaar's transformation into a sea of imported knock-offs. ➖ The Grand Bazaar's future is uncertain, with some fearing the complete loss of its cultural charm. Wheelchair outing to the local mart Grocery shopping? Yuck! Why bother visiting brick and mortar stores when you have quick commerce for every need? Right? I live in a housing society which takes care of all such needs. We have a hypermart branch, our sabji and fruit wallah, milkwallah and on top of it we have Q-comm. But everything is at a premium. Choice is limited. On the other hand, the local market has the juiciest mangoes of all available varieties. Fresh fruits, exotic fruits and veggies, fresh local veggies... Best part, you have bargaining rights. Who doesn’t love a good bargain in India! But I have never visited this market. I have lived in my complex for 10 years but never stepped out to the local market. As an educated, empowered woman with disability, I have a support system to take care of my daily needs. I have access to technology and e-commerce. What percentage of the 2.21 crore have the same privileges as you and I? More importantly, a little thought in designing can give access to us to the same spaces and guess what? I could pop across to buy the juiciest Safeda mango 🥭 😋 #MakeMyCityAccessible #MakeLocalMarketsAccessible #ConversationsAroundDisability #accessibilityforall #disabilityinclusion #accessibleindia #accessibilityaudit #urbanplanning #architecture #makemycityaccessible
