What a wonderful experience, these past two days. I attended the HR Summit organized by the Knowledge Resources company. They had a impressive line up of speakers who shared their expertise on the latest trends in HR. Naturally, Talent, AI, and Performance Management featured on the agenda, amongst other topics. What stood out for me though, was that most, if not all the speakers highlighted the importance and urgent need for human-centered organisations. Can we put "our people is our greatest asset" into practice? Just a thought.

🌟 Reflecting on an enlightening experience at the HR Conference! 🌟 I had the privilege of attending an inspiring HR conference organised by the fabulous team of BDO IT Consulting yesterday at Ocean's Creek hotel with my colleague Khemil Adhir Ramgolam where we delved into the fascinating realms of the future of HR, the pivotal role of learning and development, the art of being a people's person in HR, and the evolving landscape of AI in HR. The discussions on the future of HR left me energized and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. As organizations continue to evolve, it's imperative for HR professionals to stay ahead of the curve, anticipate trends, and adap to the changing needs of the workforce. One key takeaway was the significance of being a people's person in HR. Building strong relationships, fostering a culture of trust, and championing employee well-being are essential for creating a thriving workplace. The human touch remains irreplaceable in the digital age. The integration of AI in HR was another captivating topic discussed. AI has the potential to streamline processes, enhance decision-making, and revolutionize the employee experience. Embracing AI with a human-centric approach can lead to more efficient HR operations and personalized employee interactions. Overall, the conference was a valuable opportunity to gain insights, exchange ideas, and connect with fellow HR professionals who share a passion for driving positive change in the workplace. I look forward to applying these learnings in my own HR journey and contributing to a future where people and technology work in harmony to create exceptional workplace experiences. BDO IT Consulting

Humans thrive where HR combines care with strategic flair! Originating as a paperwork powerhouse, HR has evolved into a strategic wizard in the contemporary world. But are we unintentionally losing the essence of the “human” touch in the world driven by artificial intelligence? Let’s find out! While it's a valid observation that terms such as empathy, compassion, and kindness often face the challenge of being diluted into mere buzzwords; what if I propose that these three concepts have the profound ability to reshape the very essence of "human" in Human Resources, transcending the landscape of KPIs and strategic objectives? Let’s take a closer look at each of these concepts: 1️⃣Empathy in HR goes beyond rhetoric, embracing a profound understanding of employees' experiences, and creating a workplace where each person feels genuinely heard. 2️⃣Compassion serves as HR's guiding principle, acknowledging challenges, offering support, and prioritising individual well-being alongside achieving goals. 3️⃣Kindness in HR goes deeper than gestures, weaving acts of acknowledgement into the organisational fabric and recognising humanity in every professional interaction. HR is more than a department, curating culture in organisations. As HR professionals, let’s trailblaze human experiences, making every step not just strategic but profoundly humane.
