HIT CHESS CLUB’s Post

History was written today as India's chess prodigy, GM Gukesh Dommaraju, clinched the title of World Chess Champion at the young age of 18 and recorded it with a score of 7.5-6.5. This momentous occasion marks the end of a long journey for Gukesh as he brings about a new revolution in Indian chess history. The championship had 14 games, and both shared mostly the same score. The last game featured Kings Indian defense. The balance shifted when a small but decisive oversight by Ding Liren on move 55 (Rf2) gave him a chance to take over and win. The game went pretty intense, and it theoretically went towards a draw. Gukesh having a time advantage tried pushing ding on the clock. Congratulations to Gukesh, pride of India, and motivation for youths towards the new chess craze. #hitchessclub #64squares #chess #checkmate #haldiainstituteoftechnology #hithaldiaoffical #haldiaoffical #hittimes #hitinside #chess #worldchesschampionship #indianchessmaster #gukesh #congratulations #worldchampion #indianpride❤️
