In CE's 2023 Policy Address, it was mentioned that the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau (CEDB) would establish an inter-departmental E-commerce Development Task Force to come up with policies to help #hongkong's #SMEs to develop e-commerce business on the Mainland. To that end the government today announced the launch of the "E-commerce Easy" under the BUD Fund, which provides enterprises up to a maximum cumulative funding of HK$1 million (on a matching basis) to implement e-commerce projects, to help them explore the massive potential of the #Mainland domestic sales market. The funding is more flexible than previous general applications of the BUD Fund, with no individual funding caps, to allow enterprises to make best use of the funds for their business. The funding can be used to create #onlinestores, place ads on third-party online sales platforms, develop or enhance mobile apps, or incorporate online payment on their websites.
