With observability vendors (and for a lot of SaaS for that matter), the small customers subsidize the big ones. Resources are pooled and shared between customers - when a big player comes along, they’ll pay the same byte for byte, but use a lot more of the system’s resources. That can leave the smaller players out to dry. Sometimes, critical workflows will get bumped from the resource pool. That’s right - even tasks like filtering PII can be squeezed out. Observability pipelines like Datable.io offer the ability to pre-process your data, to ensure your data is clean and compliant no matter what happens on your vendor’s side. #VerticalSaaS platforms provide #value by offering an end-to-end solution for a specific #vertical or workflow. If a platform doesn't control the payment flow, it's not providing an end-to-end solution. This sacrifices #merchantportability and platforms miss an opportunity to create value with their clients. 👇

We're excited to share how we helped a $600m enterprise SaaS platform upgrade their open source IAM tool and reduce load times by 83%. One of our clients faced a challenge: Their standalone Keycloak deployment was several versions behind, creating technical debt and limiting scalability. Their internal team was stretched thin, focused on maintaining current operations and feature development. Here's how we tackled it: - Upgraded from Keycloak v18 to v25 - Migrated from standalone to Kubernetes-based deployment - Preserved 600+ realms and all custom extensions - Achieved zero downtime during transition The results? Load times dropped from 15 minutes to just 2.5 minutes. Plus, the new Kubernetes infrastructure enables auto-scaling and simplified updates for future maintenance. What legacy systems might be holding back your performance?
