⁉ Did you know? ⁉ Women and girls make up 51 per cent of the UK population. The female employment rate is 72.3 per cent yet women remain underrepresented in the transport sector accounting for only 26 per cent of workers (Source: Women in Transport website) So we're very pleased that one of our most popular apprenticeships is featured on the Women in Transport website as a tool for empowering women in logistics leadership. There's a long way to go until we see women enjoying the same status and satisfaction from careers in the transport & logistics sector as their male counterparts. But thanks to the focus and determination of Women in Transport and other female-focused initiatives, we are seeing rapid positive change. And it's great to be working with firms in the sector using our apprenticeship to contribute to this change. Our 12-15 month funded Transport & Warehouse Operations Supervisor apprenticeship is delivered in partnership with Road Haulage Association. It's a flexible course (fits around work schedules) that offers all the essential skills and knowledge a leader in logistics or warehousing needs. Including the Transport Manager CPC or IOSH Health & Safety certification, it's the perfect tool for fast-tracking motivated women into leadership.
