What do you do with your old electronic devices? If the answer is throw them in the bin then I'm afraid to tell you that you're part of an ever increasing e-waste problem. One that's getting bigger everyday. In fact, the amount of electronic waste ending up in landfill is growing at 3 times the rate of the human population. Globally, 5.3 billion mobile phones will be thrown away this year! But phones are not the only type of e-waste that's being disposed of en masse. It goes for all kinds of electronics, from laptops and desktop computers, printers, screens, tablets, networking devices etc..... These items all contain precious materials that need to be recovered and cause damage to environment when harmful chemicals contaminate the soil and our water supply. At ICEX GROUP we specialise in working with businesses to extend the life cycles of electronic devices through using the circular economy model. We provide three main points of value for your business: - Data security Our military grade digital erasure software ensures your sensitive information is completely protected and destroyed. - Sustainability We recycle only as a last resort, preferring the reuse as much as we can and nothing goes to landfill. - Digital equality We put affordable technology into the hands of those who are unable to afford brand new, closing the digital divide and providing a digital future for everyone. If your business would like a ticket for the circular economy train then get in touch today to see how we can breathe new life into your redundant technology, improve your ESG score, protect the environment and level up digital equality ☎ 01376 503900 📧 andrew.wright@icex.co.uk How much old technology do you have sitting around? #CircularEconomy #SustainbleIT #UseLessUseLongerUseAgainMakeClean #PeoplePlanetProfit

Technology plays an integral role in our daily lives and business operations, however, the rapid advancement of technology also brings about a significant environmental challenge: #EWaste. The disposal of outdated devices, such as smartphones, laptops and tablets, contributes to environmental pollution and resource depletion. As a responsible telecoms service provider, Phoenix Maxwell Global recognises the urgent need to address this issue and is proud to have partnered with Preloved Tech Ltd to tackle #TechnologyWaste head-on. With the average lifespan of electronic devices decreasing due to rapid technological advancements, the volume of e-waste generated worldwide continues to rise, posing a significant threat to our planet's health and #Sustainability. Solutions to combat technology waste: 📱 Refurbishment and Reuse: Through its partnership with PreLoved Tech, Phoenix Maxwell Global promotes the #refurbishment and reuse of electronic devices. Rather than discarding outdated technology, devices are meticulously refurbished to extend their lifespan and reduce the demand for new electronics. This approach not only minimises e-waste but also conserves valuable resources. ♻️ Responsible Recycling: In cases where refurbishment is not feasible, Phoenix Maxwell Global ensures responsible recycling of electronic devices. We ensure that devices are dismantled and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner, minimising the release of hazardous substances into the environment. 🧠 Educating Consumers: Phoenix Maxwell Global educates consumers about the importance of responsible disposal and recycling of electronic devices. By raising awareness about the environmental impact of technology waste, we empower individuals and businesses to make informed decisions and take proactive steps towards sustainable technology practices. Together with PreLoved Tech, Phoenix Maxwell Global is committed to promoting a circular economy where electronic devices contribute to sustainability rather than environmental harm. By choosing Phoenix Maxwell Global as your telecoms service provider, you not only gain access to cutting-edge technology solutions but also contribute to a greener and more sustainable future for generations to come. At A1 Digital Solutions, we recognise that we all have to do our bit for the planet and support the worldwide effort to reduce our carbon emission’s. Supporting a circular economy has been at the forefront of our business for many year’s allowing us to refurbish and re-use technology in a way that benefits both our clients and the planet. Keeping devices in the supply chain for as long as practically possible means that we help towards a Carbon Net Zero world. When devices are leased they are traditionally replaced every 3 or 5 years so being able to repurpose these into the supply chain means we always have devices ready to deploy and at a cost that is almost 50% less than new. Re-purposing of tech is now something that most people have embraced and are realising the benefits outweigh the stigma of the “its not new” mentality of years gone by. Our ongoing commitment around recycling and refurbishing Multi-Functional Devices (MFDs) and parts wherever possible is something that we will always strive to improve. If you look at the environmental impact of the manufacturing of a new device and parts - up to 594 kg of C02 emission’s – that’s almost the equivalent of a return flight from Aberdeen to Munich!). This allows us to reduce carbon emissions associated with the manufacturing of new devices and parts, therefore reducing waste going into landfill, and provide a more cost-effective solution for our valued clients. All A1 Digital-Zero devices have low volumes assuring you of at least 75% of their lifetime volume is left. No device will leave our workshop until our qualified engineers have performed the quality control checks to ensure that devices are in ‘as good as new’ working order. The process is not simply a quick clean with a reset the defaults and then its ready to go, it’s impossible to tell the difference between a new and reused device that leaves our workshop. The devices are erased, set to factory defaults and firmware upgraded with all previous owner’s information and settings removed. Devices that are high volume or in poor physical condition are disposed of via our accredited trade recycling service after a full hard drive erase. Useable part and panels are harvested to ensure the lease possible unusable components make it to landfill. Plastic and electrical parts have to be broken down and WEEE guidelines followed which allows these parts to potentially be recycled into new parts by the device manufacturers.# #sustainable #refurbishment #reliability #doingyourbitfortheenevironment
