What home cultivation will bring is a ragtag way to introduce a R&D. If companies would sponsor home grown events to allow competitions, it would allow them to get cuts. This would also allow them to become closer to the community. Call it community relations. Obviously there would be growing pains with growers aptitude or learning curve. Testing is common in competitions now a days. It’s also a good way to find local talent. To preserve there brand. May even foster new breeders. Allowing states to have their own cultivars or companies to do the same. Who doesn’t like cornering the market with their own genetics 🧬 that no one else can have.
Do you think legalizing home growing would flood the market, crash prices and spell the ruin of commercial cannabis? Or would it be like alcohol, where it’s too much trouble to grow and produce, so most people would rather just buy it ready-made? It takes time to learn. Seasons. And not everyone can do it. On the other hand, someone like me could easily grow enough in my backyard in one summer to supply my friends and family for the year. That’s a lot of free cannabis. So, what do you think? Would legalizing home grow tank the cannabis industry? Let me know your take in the comments ⬇️ 📸 I germinated two Jelly Donutz about a week apart and harvested the first one yesterday. This is the second pheno, what a beauty she is. A couple more weeks to go! 🤗 #cannabiscommunity #cannabisindustry #cannabiscultivation #medicalcannabis #homegrow #homegrown

The fresh German cannabis rules are actually quite bizarre.. You have to be a member of a cannabis club for at least three months to buy weed, and each club must have a prevention officer on duty. And when you finally get to buy your weed, you have to consume it at home, where you're not even allowed to share your joint with friends. Anyway, the absurdity of the cannabis rules in Germany becomes crystal clear when you watch this hilarious video... #germany #legaliserung #cannabis #THC

It’s hard being the Bank for the entire industry. 97% of survey respondents (87) are operating at a loss. Losses that are existential. Most of the issues are structural and not poor business decisions. 30% fear retaliation from OCM. 80% want OCM audited by a 3rd party.
AUCCs need to be licensed immediately. Very sobering words from our members. At CFA, we are hopeful for the future of the cannabis plant. We are whole plant farmers and entrepreneurs but for the moment focusing on the recreational and medicinal. New York has made it very difficult to survive. Thankfully, people are listening and reacting. https://lnkd.in/dKHmkVmm? I am sharing Amanda's post to highlight a conversation that’s crucial for the future of the cannabis industry. While specific regulatory changes can have positive impacts, I believe it’s also important to step back and look at the broader picture. The industry's regulatory landscape needs more than just incremental changes; it requires a fundamental overhaul to address systemic issues and truly thrive. Here's what we should also be considering: - How can we design a regulatory framework that’s built not from fear but from a foundation of understanding and practicality? - What would it look like if we crafted policies that are as forward-thinking as the industry itself? - How can we unify industry stakeholders to advocate for change that benefits everyone? Let's use this opportunity to initiate a more profound dialogue that goes beyond the immediate fixes and addresses the long-term vision of cannabis regulation. #ForCannabisReformActualized #PolicyPatchWorkMustEnd #WeNeedVisionaries #WeNeedLeaders #PleaseStopPlayingSmall #EndFederalProhibtion
Quick Question Monday! If your state could change just ONE regulation around cannabis to help the industry thrive, what would it be? List your state and the regulation you would change. I'll go first. I'm in CA so I have a LIST. But if I had to choose just ONE, would say allow those with small cultivation licenses to sell direct to consumer. Your turn!

Benefits of Explosive “Hemp” Growth 1. Red states are flowing Green 2. Explosive product proliferation may instigate a national legalization conversation 3. Growers now have options and greater pricing power. That said, all cannabis should be tested, regulated, distributed, and sold in a responsible fashion. That is to say safety, adherence to rules and regulations, and attempts to minimize youth consumption. Will hemp open the floodgates for national cannabis legalization or will it usher in a new level of enforcement? Please join the conversation and share your thoughts. #cannabis #cannabismarket #cannabiscultivation

20 State AGs Urge Congress to Fix Hemp Loophole. In a letter today, AGs from 20 states urged Congress to add language in the 2024 Farm Bill that would explicitly reserve for states the power to regulate intoxicating substances purportedly derived from or chemically synthesized from hemp, noting public health and safety concerns from such products, which can be just as intoxicating as cannabis regulated under state medical and adult-use laws, if not more so. #Duanemorris client the American Trade Association for Cannabis & Hemp has taken a similar position - state regulation of hemp-synthesized intoxicants - in amicus briefs filed in the Eighth and Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Bio Gen LLC et al. v. Sanders et al. and Northern Virginia Hemp and Agriculture, LLC et al v. Commonwealth of Virginia et al. #ATACH Michael Bronstein Chris Lindsey #cannabis #cannabislaw #hemp #hempindustry
