🌟 Thrilled to Share My Experience at the 10th Rowad Conference and 3rd Arab SMEs Summit 🌟 Participating in this event in Doha was a remarkable opportunity to engage with the thriving startup ecosystem in Qatar. For my first visit to Qatar, the event proved to be an ideal platform to connect, pitch, and discover the immense potential the country offers to entrepreneurs. At a side event, I had the privilege to pitch and be selected among the Top 2 startups to present the next day on the main stage during the 6th edition of the Investment Forum, a significant part of the summit. My heartfelt thanks go to the jury members, including Shaikha Y AlRomaihi, Sara Daniel, and others, for their trust and support. Pitching in front of a distinguished audience, including QDB CEO Mr. Abdulrahman bin Hesham Al Sowaidi and Mr. Mohammed Al-Emadi, Executive Director of Investment & Incubation, was an absolute honor. The forum showcased incredible announcements and reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to supporting Arab and international entrepreneurs. This event allowed me to discover firsthand the rich startup ecosystem in Qatar, complementing our ongoing involvement with the TASMU SMART QATAR online accelerator. For startups exploring opportunities in Qatar, I highly recommend navigating through https://startupqatar.qa/en. My schedule was packed with insightful meetings with startup ecosystem players, oil and gas companies addressing the GCC region, and MoU signing with Arab companies. Regrettably, I missed connecting with our TASMU mentor, Max Creaser, and Marcel Dridje, our mentor at NOVATION CITY’s AI Factory program—but I’ll be back soon! A special thanks to Kareem Hassan, Managing Director of the ESCWA Arab SMEs Summit, for personally resolving challenges that enabled my participation. Congratulations to him on the event’s remarkable progress compared to last year. It was inspiring to observe the quality of professionals relocating to Qatar. The city exudes a unique serenity, underpinned by exceptional organization and safety—I even witnessed a colleague retrieve a lost phone in just 45 minutes! While small in size, Qatar’s big vision and professional management are evident in every aspect, and I hope Qatar’s startup ecosystem will distinguish itself by focusing on solving complex challenges around human and environmental sustainability, much like Boston’s ecosystem. From our side, we’re excited to announce that NextAV has been accepted into the Web Summit Qatar Alpha track and will be returning to Doha from February 23-26, 2025. In the meantime, I’m sharing a thermal monitoring feature we’ve developed, showcasing AI-superresolved public satellite imagery of a residential area in Doha (currently at 5m per pixel, with 1m resolution in progress). This technology is perfect for building efficiency monitoring and other use cases. Feel free to reach out for collaborations or potential use cases in Doha or beyond. #Rowad2024 #ArabSMESummit #QatarStartups #NextAV

I love the amazing improvement in resolution you are able to achieve from publicly available satellite imagery! The thermal image showing cold loss from buildings is fantastic business intelligence for the building owners!
