🎉 Celebrating a Decade of Shaping the Future! 🎈 The Munich School of Politics & Public Policy (HfP) celebrated its 10th anniversary as part of the Technical University of Munich. Collaborators and partners from the public sector, civil society representatives, and industry leaders joined HfP and TUM faculty, staff, and students for a festive celebration reflecting on the past, present, and future of HfP as a place where politics and technology meet. 🎉 Bavarian State Minister Markus Blume called HfP at TUM in his welcoming remarks "a success story" and highlighted its important role and mission vis-a-vis today's societal challenges. 🌟 TUM President Thomas F. Hofmann remarked: „The HfP has developed into a beacon of future-oriented research and practice-oriented teaching that effectively combines political science with technology and natural sciences.“ 👩🎓 Student Council representative Elisabeth Weber-Glasl added in her speech: "...what we students value is the unique community at the HfP. Here, we experience a spirit of collaboration that not only challenges us but also empowers us." ⚖️ Rector Urs Gasser reflected on the legacy of HfP and renewed its institutional commitment to democracy, the rule of law, and human rights at the dawn of the AI age with societal challenges abound. 🇩🇪🇺🇸 A core theme linked to HfP’s history is the future of transatlantic relations. Former White House official and US foreign policy expert Farah Pandith offered in her keynote a rich set of observations and personal reflections on technology, society, and the global good, ending on an optimistic note: "Together, by valuing the common good and harnessing the power of technology and human connection, we can create a more resilient and equitable world. Let us do it together." 💡 The festive evening concluded with a thought-provoking panel moderated by Dr. Katrin Suder, Chairwoman of the HfP Council, featuring Professor Claudia Franziska Brühwiler and Reform Rector Eugénia da Conceição-Heldt.
