Power Pages/PowerApps Portals does not currently support Business Rules in Forms If anyone else thinks this would be useful and it certainly would be in keeping with the low code aspect of the Power Platform and allowing for easy support and administration of Power Platform built solutions, once handed over to a customer. Here I have found the most voted on that I could find, in regards to this. So would be great to get some more votes, if you too feel this would be a valuable addition. It may be that due to the nature of where forms execute this is not possible, but I think it is worth getting this voted on and in the meantime we can continue to use JavaScript/JQuery https://lnkd.in/edRYfS94 #businessrules #powerappsportals #powerpages #powerplatform #lowcode #ideas #futureimprovements
Come on HP i brought you up better than not testing a working link!
No link in your post Henry P. 😀
I believe the business rule of type „Error Message“ works in Power Pages, but I am not certain that this is still the case (it was back in the days of Dynamics Portals / Power Apps Portals). I‘ ll check on that. Still, I totally agree here with your initial thought. It only seems logical to support all of the available Business Rule types to complement the whole low code approach.
Patrick Reslinger François Séjourné les arguments contre sont très très justifiés tout de même 🙈

7moI am likely one of the few that don’t think this is useful, and I have heard this question/request multiple times. Setting up business rules in the current MDA interface is clunky at best. The JavaScript syntax to accomplish the same result, especially in Power Pages is not completely out of reach to skilled makers, especially with easy access to Visual Studio code for the web directly from the design studio (copilot is actually helpful here as well). My view is the team should focus on some more pressing updates than this. Just my opinion!
