Gap HR and Golf HR - Sick notes - If you have employees on any sickness that's more than seven days, they have to provide you with a sick note to cover their entire absence. So, if you have an employee who's been off for four or five or six weeks and their sick note runs out, you should really be getting in touch with them sort of the day before or a couple of days before, and see how they're doing. If they're returning to work, do they need anything? You're trying to establish whether they're going to come back or whether they're going to give you another sick note without asking directly. And then they should either return to work or have an arrangement with you about returning to work in that week on maybe reduced hours or light duties or something. Or they should have another sick note. #hr #humanresources #employmentlaw #sicknote #sickness #absence #workplace

We see a lot of “work hard, play hard” in tech. People working overtime for days, weeks, and months at a time. And then they take a (well-earned) vacation for a week or so and return to the grind. But what I don’t see a lot of is people working hard and taking intentional periods of rest in the *midst* of working hard. The bees that visit my little flower patch out back are constantly working. Some of the most efficient critters I’ve seen! 🐝 But they also take time to rest for a beat after visiting 10 or so flowers before resuming their work again. They don’t wait until the end of their “work day” or the end of a long month to rest — they do so consistently, frequently, and with purpose. And that’s something I’ve been doing more of — when I start to notice my brain reaching exhaustion, I go outside and hang out in the garden for a bit. The restoration that happens in those few minutes at a time has had compounding effects on my ability to jump back in renewed and refreshed. I encourage you to try it out: - Learn to be vigilant and aware of when your brain and body are telling you it’s time for a break during the day - Don’t push it down and push through; *listen* to your body and take a break - Go outside, feel the sun on your face, look around, and take an active interest in the comings and goings of the world around you - Take stock of your breathing; focus on slow breaths in and slow breaths out Burnout creeps up quick, folks. Making an effort to acknowledge, address, and heal when you start to see the symptoms can change your life. #JauntsWithJess #Marketing #MarketingOps #MOPs #MentalHealth

#WorkPressure takes another life, it is important that we take a step back and stop listening to the people sitting at the top boasting or pushing this generation to work for 70 hours in a week. The need of the hour is to promote a healthy lifestyle and work life balance. The company won’t stop it’s operations if you die, work will go on, with you or without you but your family only have you. So, time to learn to say NO to toxicity and working overtime just to please the management or for that extra incentive. #Focus on #Wellbeing, #mental, #emotional and #physical. Keep yourself #fit and enjoy working in a healthy way for all. #Remember India won’t become a super power with a dieing or unhealthy population.
