🌟 Last week marked my final day at JPMorgan Chase, concluding an incredible 3-year journey. As I reflect, on my time there, I am filled with gratitude for the experiences and the knowledge I've gained.   During my tenure, I had the privilege to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry, who taught me invaluable lessons about leadership, teamwork, and innovation. Through these experiences, I've realized that clear vision, adaptability, collaboration, and a relentless focus on excellence and learning are key to success. What a night at a recent JPMorganChase networking event! I had the privilege of speaking to potential new team members in NYC with Rohan Amin, Michele Willis, and Melissa Feldsher, among others. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect and share our passion for what we do at Chase. Reflecting on the event, two things stood out: • Unexpected Reactions: Attendees were surprised by how modern and human the firm feels. They might have been surprised, but we weren't. 😊 One person mentioned that they came and weren’t expecting much, but were now interested in joining. Huge win for our teams! • Best Question of the Night: When asked why they should join the firm, Rohan nailed it: "Do other banks serve seven lines of business and 67 million digitally active customers, from starters to ultra-high net worth clients? Do other banks provide travel services, personalized offers, and small business tools all in one place?” Nope. Our scale and impact are huge, but our culture makes the difference. Personally, I joined (and I stay) because of our people and the positive impact we have on our customers’ lives. Thank you to our teams for bringing your whole selves to work every day. Breaking the Stigma: My Positive Experience with JPMC and Supportive Leadership In a world where corporate culture often gets criticized, I wanted to share a positive experience that reinforces the belief that not all companies or managers are the same. In June, I interviewed for a position at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and was thrilled to be offered the role. However, in July, just a month before my joining date, I found out I was pregnant. Naturally, I was anxious. I couldn’t help but wonder what people would think, joining a new company only to go on maternity leave shortly after. I feared I would be seen as someone not fully committed to her role. But then, something unexpected and incredibly heartwarming happened. My manager, and the entire management team, welcomed me with open arms. Instead of judgment, I was met with genuine support and understanding. My manager wholeheartedly embraced the situation, encouraging me to take the time I needed for both my health and my baby. Throughout my maternity leave, I felt valued, not as just an employee, but as a person balancing the challenges of work and motherhood. This experience taught me that not all corporate environments are toxic. Not all managers are difficult. There are leaders and companies that prioritize empathy, flexibility, and support for their employees' well-being. I am grateful for JPMorgan Chase & Co. and my manager, who made my journey into motherhood smoother while allowing me to continue growing professionally. It’s experiences like these that reinforce my belief in the importance of strong, supportive workplace cultures. To those reading this, I want to remind you that positive, people-first leadership does exist. Choose environments where you’re not just a number but a valued team member.
