I was in #BigSur recently and came across this rusted #vintage automobile in front of a restaurant on the Pacific Coast Highway. It got me thinking about why this classic automobile wasn't renovated to give it that #pizazz I thought it needed. I quickly realized it already had pizazz. Didn't I get drawn to it to have someone take a picture of me next to the "old rust bucket". See, aging can suck if you let it get to you. One can age with pizzazz and and have some rustiness but that just adds character to their image. Which brings me to my next topic of "aging like fine wine" and the image of my wife Mala holding grapes. Who doesn't agree with well made wine tasting better as it ages as it starts it's journey to a wine bottle as a delicate grape on a vine until it is ready to be harvested and eventually like any fine wine it will be aged to then being poured, tasted, admired, maybe even discussed and then enjoyed. That's why aging is a state of mind and you should challenge yourself: "Do I want to age like fine wine and have the pizzazz of that vintage automobile even though there is some rust which frankly gives it character?" OR "Do I want to sour with age like a bad grape and fear the warranty on yourself (mind and body) is running out?" It's all about #attitude and how we bring it to our professional and personal lives. Be a classic and age like fine wine. The best is yet to come! #TuesdayThoughts #PhysicalWellbeing #MentalWellbeing #Wellbeing

Why I’ve Been Quiet Lately… The last few days, I’ve been unusually silent. Why? Because the harvest was in full swing — long days and short nights! There’s been a lot of hard work, but also a lot of thinking. This is the time when you make crucial decisions that shape the style and quality of the new vintage. You might say, "But Andreas, you always tell me that the quality of wine is made in the vineyard!" And you’re absolutely right. However, just like in cooking, even the best ingredients can lead to a disappointing dish if you make poor decisions or have bad timing. The same goes for winemaking. These are the moments when, despite exhaustion and the temptation to sleep, I ask myself: Would I regret not going the extra mile 6 months, 1 year, or even 2 years from now? That simple question helps me push through the weariness. And now, after those long days, it feels incredible to see everything come together — we have outstanding qualities for the 2024 vintage! A Bit About This Year’s Vintage: It was a challenging year. We started with a late frost that hit us hard, causing a 25% loss in one of our vineyards and a total loss in the young plantations. Then came a beautiful summer with plenty of rain and sunshine, perfect for ripening the grapes. But, as any gardener knows, lots of sun and water also bring challenges, like mildew. With intense effort, we managed to overcome these obstacles and are thrilled with the result of the 2024 vintage: moderate sugar levels, perfect acidity — everything you could wish for when producing sparkling wine. Feeling grateful for another great vintage!

Welcome to week 4️⃣ of our new Bottles for Dumbbells series! This 5-week series will create a quick circuit you can do anywhere with just a few bottles of wine! 🍾 Remember, we understand that not everyone drinks alcohol, so you can use almost any other item you have around the house, from detergent bottles to carry-on suitcases! It just takes a little imagination! Let's grab our vino and go! This week is… 🪵💪🏻Wine Drag In a Plank🪵💪🏻 Here’s how to do it: 🍷 Get into a pushup plank position with two wine bottles at one side of you 🍷 Cross one arm underneath you to grab a wine bottle and drag it to your other side. 🍷 Repeat with the other bottle 🍷 Repeat on your other side 🍷 Tip: The wider your legs are, the easier it will be to keep your hips still 🍷 Do 8-10x on each side Add this to the last 3 weeks of wine exercises and aim for 3-4 rounds with 1-minute rest between sets. Come back next week for the final exercise to add to your circuit. In the meantime, pop in the comments with any questions and tell us how last week’s wine exercise went. In the online world between clicks and views, it can be easy to forget who your customer is on the other side. Reviews offer great feedback, but with a product like Coravin, there's always a deeper story and conversation behind each purchase. There's a rich life of varying interests, family and friends to enjoy Timeless and Sparkling devices with. So, it's been my pleasure recently to share stories from the advocates of Coravin . Advocates like Mike below, who was kind enough to let me into his 'Coravin at home' life and tell his story. Like most, his wine journey started with "red or white?" and grew to "Pinot Noir or Sauternes?". Coravin at it's essence (to me personally anyway), is a brand that allows you to explore wine at home free from elitism and snobbery. Take a read! And if you use Coravin at home already, I would love to hear your story? hmu :) https://lnkd.in/gy6_5GBq

Ever paused to think about what happens to a bottle of wine as it sits and waits? It's not idle time; it's a period of transformation where each element plays its part in shaping what you'll eventually taste and toast to. 🍷 Think about it: have you noticed how the bold flavors of a new wine can grow into a richer, more layered experience? Isn't it fascinating how the initial sharpness softens, leaving a gentler feel on the palate? Do you see how the shades subtly shift, painting the story of its age? And what about air? It's like a secret ingredient that needs just the right touch. It's remarkable how giving wine time can transform it into something incredibly special. Many of us have had the pleasure of experiencing this magic with a specific bottle that left a lasting impression. Share your stories. What's your most memorable aged wine experience? Are you keen to learn more and maybe even try your hand at aging wine the right way? Our latest article dissects this topic. Click the link in the comments to read it.

1moI drove Big Sur last year and drove from SF to LA. Your message thoughtful and a nod to all that a visit to Big Sur is worth it!! We saw some huge Elk running on the road after dark. I would not advise driving after dark but we did the last 2 hours and it’s an experience not for the weak. We also visited Hurst Castle near LA and definitely also worth the trip down Pacific Highway.
