Great Ormond Street Hospital has been a vital part of my family’s life for more than 16 years. The 25th Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity Christmas carol concert was a chance to reflect, in the surroundings of a beautiful Victorian church, on the incredible work that Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust does all year round, including: ⭐️ The ground breaking research teams - my four have always enjoyed being able to watch the scientists at work, gene hunting down in the labs at the Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children. ⭐️The clinical teams, most of whom don’t have the privilege of the festive downtime that many of us look forward to. ⭐️ The fundraising team, whose work spans everything from 50p pocket money donations through to major flagship events like last night - ably assisted by organising committees led by GOSH families - and a £60m philanthipic donation to build the Zayed Centre. ⭐️ The huge supporter base for GOSH, including some well known faces who give their time generously (such as Ruthie Henshall, Jason Isaacs and many others last night). My family’s own - much lower key - fundraising efforts over the years have been an eclectic combination of runs, bake sales and a 24 hours maths lesson (yes, that’s a continuous maths lesson for 24 hours, with Year 11 students willingly leading the charge)! It’s an amazing place, focused on improving the health of future generations and families like mine. We’re lucky to be under their care - any other #loveGOSH parents, carers and supporters in my network?
Thank you for this lovely recognition of the work that goes into making GOSH special and for sharing some of your own GOSH story, Helen 💙
What an incredible place GOSH is, and the people who work there. Amazing effort by you and your family on the fundraising. ❤️
Me too Helen. My younger brother received excellent care at GOSH hospital before his passing. I'll always be a big fan.

6dGOSH is such an incredible place. I know so many kids from the rare disease community under expert care from GOSH. I love all these photos, how you can watch the labs at work, the fundraising and small horror at idea of 24 hr Maths as you know. These are the real heroes. Season’s Greetings to all at Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity
