💡 𝑼𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝑰 𝒕𝒐 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝑼𝒑 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒍-𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 & 𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔💡 We’re living in an era where AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini are streamlining tasks, freeing up our time in ways we couldn’t have imagined just a few years ago. But I believe we have reached a fork in the road where we can make a choice: Instead of filling that newfound time with 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 and 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒔𝒚-𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔, what if we used it to nurture our wellbeing and happiness? What if instead of 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒑, we choose to 𝑺𝑳𝑶𝑾 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏? We often chase productivity at the expense of our mental health, but now, with the help of AI, we have an opportunity to break that cycle. Here’s how we can use this extra time: ✨ Prioritise mindfulness practices like meditation or simply taking a moment to breathe. ✨ Engage in activities that bring joy - whether it’s a hobby, spending time with loved ones, or just unwinding. ✨ Focus on personal growth and reconnect with what truly matters. ✨ Create space for rest and recovery, boosting overall well-being. 🫂 In honor of Mental Health May, I thought I’d share my journey from the past 1.5 years. In February of 2023 I quit my dream job. I had a team that was incredibly supportive, I was traveling on behalf of Google, building partnerships with Microsoft and Afrotech, and building out technology that benefited my community. Yet, I experienced waves of personal tragedy that sent me to the hospital more times in one year than the past 25 years of my life. I learned to implement mindfulness practices in my daily work habits, including my team in my bid to incorporate meditation in our weekly gatherings and we learned to breathe together. I fell in love with the version of me that advocated for professional peace, I realized the urgency of the immediate. This time, I made sure the immediate included my mental health. I noticed so many of my friends and age mates getting health diagnoses with symptoms I experienced but routinely dismissed, and I knew I had to save my life. The likelihood for regret was low, especially because I plan to thrive until flying cars are as common as Teslas. I took a billionaire’s advice and I failed quickly. I failed and found myself waking up in warm sunny beach days, with no plans except to be human. I spent the past 1.5 years acquainting with fear, guilt and shame with every sunrise over the Caribbean waves. I learned to surf and finally rode a bike, healing Little Ngozi. I learned to slow down time and sit with memories I pushed to the backlog of my brain. I found the sweetness of life again, helping small businesses get a win through my event services, and eating nutrient dense fruits and vegetables I picked from the earth myself. I roller skated the streets until I felt deep gratitude for life once more. I felt the definition of God transform for me, from master to lover to co-creator. I taught kemetic yoga, breathwork, meditation and qigong at retreats. I felt my cup getting full and so much inspiration helped me develop a curriculum between physical intelligence and how we store data. Natural technology revealed itself clearly as the blueprint to artificial technology, so I started applying this mindset to develop harmony of the senses to our integration with rapidly sentient technology. Our bodies are divine computers that hold unique energy, this information became a gift for me as we integrate daily with AI. These bodies thrive on quality of life, access to real and nutritious food, clean air and warm smiles. AI depends on our healthy perspectives to yield favorable outcomes. We program what we experience. I’m back from my sabbatical having accomplished many personal goals (I wrote so much!) and developed an ease that is fortified. How we view ourselves as parts of a solution adds to the productivity in the workplace and yields consistent inspiration to continue working.
