When you receive a commendation from arguably your busiest traveller you take a lot of pride in its receipt. Not only is this client one of my longest standing clients, but he is travelling the world following the #F1 calendar amongst just 1 of the sports he manages events for. 🌍 The Life of a Travelling Trainer: Highs & Lows 🌍 We often get asked what it's like being a trainer moving from one site to another - what we see as the highs and lows... Highs: Adventure Everywhere: Seeing new places, meeting lovely people, and diving into diverse cultures. In the last 12 months the team have been to South Korea, Ireland, Dubai, Oman, the length and breadth of the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Scotland, Cyprus and next year looks even better with more European trips in the sunshine!🌲🧗♂️ Constant Learning: Every new location brings fresh challenges, different perspectives, and opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. 📚🌟 Connection & Impact: There's nothing like seeing participants conquer their fears and learn new skills and knowing that the team have played a big part in that journey can be very rewarding. 💪✨ Lows: Missing Home: This can be a big - especially at the start of the season when trainers can be going from site to site with little or no time at home and being away from family and friends for extended periods can be tough. The thrill of travel doesn't always fill the gap of home comforts! 🏡💔 Unpredictable Logistics: From delayed flights to unexpected weather conditions, the unpredictability of travel can be exhausting. Sometimes, just getting to the course site or getting home in one piece feels like a victory - yes we are talking about you RyanAir! ✈️⛈️ Loneliness: It can be very lonely on the road and despite the excitement, there are moments when the travel and unfamiliar surroundings can feel isolating. It’s a challenge to balance social interactions and personal downtime.
