I’ve always found it difficult to introduce what my business can do especially in the software industry. Usually, a lead turns into a meeting which turns into another to then be asked, “could you build this?” Or “is this possible?”. The answer will most likely always be yes. This traditional sales cycle is long, time consuming and may not even lead to a sale. On the flip side, trying to explain to someone for the first time what you can do for them is a challenge. You can keep it very high level and general but to make it meaningful you need to research their business, then make some sort of pitch deck, understand their industry which all takes time, a lot of time. Anyone else feel the same?
