Everything is speculative at this point, but this is the best analysis I have seen. The individual commenting provides very clear moment by moment insight into what is happening in the video. I think there are two questions. Why did the electrical power plant drop out? Did the pilot and ship master actions cause the ship to hit the bridge? I cannot imagine the stress they went through in the moments leading up to this. If they had just let it coast, would it have continued on its trajectory and remain in the channel and pass safely under the bridge? The NTSB report will determine what happened and the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of everyone’s actions.

Pitot probes inlet obstruction on the ground can be caused by unexpected sources such as sand, dirt, dust or insect nesting activity. This is why it is important to think about when to install Pitot probe covers for an aircraft on the ground to protect its air data system performance.🤔
