It was a privilege to have been asked to deliver this webinar for the BPS. I hope we were able to raise awareness of the importance and impact that PGx is potentially going to bring to prescription medicine going forwards. Only part of the information we, as prescribers, need to help guide us in our decisions about what to prescribe for the patient in front of us, but an important bit! Knowing if a drug is potentially effective, from a genetic perspective, is vital, as is appreciating if a drug dose should be adjusted at the outset or avoided altogether. That is the potential power that this additional information can give us. PGx panel testing is the future of prescription medicine but is available now.
