a2 Collective #awardee McLean Hospital and Rippl are developing a groundbreaking project titled "Creating a Framework for Large Language Models for Caregiver Support in Dementia." This #cohort3 project focuses on utilizing #NLP to enhance caregiver support for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (#ADRD). Led by Ipsit Vahia, MD, Rachel Sava, PhD, and Joseph Chung, MS, the project is designed to improve decision support and social/emotional care by creating a framework for chatbots that provide reliable information and emotional support to caregivers. This initiative aims to increase tech acceptance in dementia care, ultimately empowering caregivers with the resources they need to improve the quality of life for those they care for. The collaboration with #massaitc highlights the power of interdisciplinary research in addressing critical challenges in aging and dementia care.
