Can we design our life? I say "YES” at least 10 times a day. I say YES to picking up that repaired watch for a friend (even if it means taking a longer route home), YES to attending my 4th networking event of the week, YES to participating in an internal pitch (even though I already have three others), YES to finishing a proposal for a teammate, and YES to taking on more responsibilities at work. At first, it feels okay. “I can do this. I’m trying to help someone.” I told myself repeatedly. There were times I regretted saying Yes. As soon as I did, I already knew I will not be happy fulfilling it. Despite this, saying NO and feeling guilty about it seems unthinkable for me. Over the years, I’ve come to see this pattern as part of my identity. However, I’m not proud of it. Enter Human Design - It is a system that combines ancient wisdom (like astrology) with modern science (like quantum physics) to create a personalised “blueprint” of who you are. Imagine having a map on hand. It shows your unique strengths, how you’re designed to make decisions, and the best way for you to use your talents. I was introduced to Human Design by Jane Tor during the first Embodied Clarity Retreat last weekend. While Human Design is complex, Jane helped us gained clarity of ourselves, so we are closer to finding our purpose in life. This is me - 💁🏻♀️I am a Pure Generator (one of four types in Human Design) 🌟Generators have an inviting aura that attracts opportunities and people. 🌟They find it hard to say NO, often say Yes to everything and regret later on when they feel drained. 🌟Generators are inspired by ideas and enjoy working but only when it’s something they truly want to do. 🌟They excel when engaged in work that excites them, creating a steady flow of energy that keeps projects moving forward. 🌟They can burn out when taking on obligations out of duty rather than passion, or when feeling pressured to continue despite feeling dissatisfied. Now everything makes sense. I understood: ☑️Why I have the tenancy to say YES. ☑️Why open-ended questions don’t work well for me. ☑️Why I perform best with clear objectives. ☑️Why I love researching topics deeply. (I am drawn to get to the bottom of things and deeply understand them) ☑️Why trial and error helps me discover new things. I’m just beginning to explore Human Design, but this insight is enough for now. As I become older, I want to understand myself even better. Sometimes, this means unlearning old habits. Other times, it is about diving deeper into things that I am really good at,or saying bye to things and people that no longer serve me. Now, I feel at ease saying NO. Even if I initially said YES hastily, I have the choice to change my mind. And if I choose not to, I’m aware of my intentions and can carry out the task happily. Have you heard of Human Design? I am curious to know your type, and if you have tools that help you address your blind spots! #humandesign

Hazel , many thanks for your sharing . I have had studied on 2 courses , the Practitioner , 2 days and the Master Analyst of 4 days of Human Profiling on understanding personality behavior weakness and strength , hidden potential, whole life inborn challenger and strength, universal of our date of birth, analysing and interpreting wealth, health, career, relationship and family matters , analysing corporate restructuring, my yearly chart 9 years Before that , I did attend 2 days simple course on the same subject too. I found that the learning bring me more understanding of myself and I did share to some of my relatives and close friends too. You can participate in this learning. Through the learning , since I know more on myself and also sharing to others, is good to voluntarily make donation to the society to balance our life. As there is a saying on too much knowing on ourselves and to make known to others has exceeded our human beings. I did contributed to World Life Funds Society and Malaysia Kidney Foundation annually to balance it and also contributed some funds to the needees after receiving some money from my reading to intrested persons. I found that this way , I did contributed some thing back to the society.

Hazel Yap I think we are quite similar as “Generators” 😀. What I have learnt. There are 2 types of people. 1. Those that give you energy 2. Those that take away your energy and never give Over the years, I’ve learnt to discern about saying NO to people who always take, afterall, we can’t help them from an empty jar. 😀

Very interesting Hazel Yap. I have been learning Chinese metaphysics regarding our own personality and blind spots. As you know, the boardgame I simulate and run is also a tool that can help with that. I'll be looking up Human Design to learn more. Thanks for sharing!

YES! I know my “type” but it doesn’t stop me from finding new layers, or perhaps it makes it easier to do so. ;)

Hazel Yap I also started looking into human design a while ago but when I found out I’m a Reflector was really disappointed 😆 It’s definitely a great tool for understanding oneself and sheds light on qualities we can amplify or minimize. You are definitely a shining example of a Generator! ✨

Great share Hazel Yap , As what we always heard from a in-flight announcement. "Put on your mask before helping another".. Simple and short.. because you help no one when you are out of breathe and dead.😱😅 Be kind to others by first being kind to yourself. Keep spreading that BIG SMILE always!😁
