If you’re reaching out to the media, it’s presumably because you’ve got something newsworthy to share. The last thing you should do is bury that key newsworthy information in a pile of fluff that the journalist has no time or desire to wade through. When you share a story, you need to make your story clear in the first two or three paragraphs of your email pitch or your press release. Making your story concise while still giving all the relevant details can be tricky if you’re not used to it. ➡️ This is where my tailored training days come in. Whether you and your team are completely new to PR or just need a new approach, I can make your session as unique as the story you’re trying to tell.

How to Get Quoted in a Top Publication (OG style). 1) Find reporters who cover a topic where you have expertise. 2) Read their articles and bio to get a sense of how they see the industry. 3) When you see content that is valuable, share it with them along with your insights. 4) Follow them, read their work, and comment when you have something interesting to say. 5) Find a timely, complex issue and invest your time understanding the topic. You may have to reach out to experts to learn from them. 6) These experts can become sources for the reporters. This benefits the reporter and the expert who was generous with their time. 7) If the reporter reaches out to you, be extremely prepared. 8) Ask them when their deadline is and offer to provide additional information or clarifications. 9) Think about building a long-term professional relationship over months or years. 10) Don't expect anything in return, especially being quoted. But.... you may just get lucky.

Hello, and hope your week has been fruitful, and successful! We are delighted to invite you to another enlightening and engaging broadcast on Armourgate Radio Communications, hosted by business expert, Adeola Gbadebo, with the theme, "Employability Skills for the 21st Century!" Employability skills refer to a set of transferable skills and key personal attributes, which are highly valued by employers, and essential for optimum performance in the workplace. Unlike professional or technical skills, these employability skills are generic in nature, rather than job-specific; and they are common to all work roles and workplaces, across all industry types. They often improve performance, minimize errors, and promote collaboration with coworkers, enabling an employee to perform job role better. In today's episode, we will take a critical and analytical look at some employability skills that are necessary for productivity and effectiveness in the workplace, as well as their many benefits. These skills are Data Literacy, and Emotional Intelligence. Data literacy is the ability to read, write, analyze, communicate, and reason with data. It’s a skill that allows individuals and organizations to make better, data-driven decisions. Meanwhile, Emotional Intelligence (EI) describes a person’s ability to identify, understand, manage, influence, and harness their own emotions, as well as those of the people around them. Today's episode is one that is simple to understand, and very instrumental to increased work performance, and efficiency. Join us on Mixlr by 5:00pm WAT/ 12:00pm ET via https://lnkd.in/dacwispg as we delve into this very rich topic. Thank you!
