Anyone who knows me well knows how passionate I am about F1. 🏎️ As the 2024 F1 season heads into its thrilling final triple-header, the championship is still up for grabs, with Max Verstappen and Lando Norris both in contention. I can’t help but draw parallels between this and the values we can carry into our personal and professional lives: consistency, resilience, overcoming failure, and staying focused on our goals. 🎯 Take Lando Norris and McLaren, for instance: a team that was the 4th fastest on the grid in 2022 and 2023 has now consistently improved to compete at the very top. 🚀 Or Max Verstappen and Red Bull: demonstrating bold but calculated moves, embodying the mindset of true champions. 🏆 Max’s iconic win at São Paulo, storming from P17 to P1, reminds me of Ayrton Senna's legendary moments, where greatness becomes undeniable. 🌟 Whether you’re leading a project, managing your career, or chasing a dream, aim to make a statement with every step—just like Max did that day. #F1 #LeadershipLessons #MaxVerstappen #McLarenF1 #Inspiration #ConsistencyMatters #Innovation #ChasingExcellence #Teamwork #Motivation

Lando Norris’s decision underscores a powerful lesson: even in individual sports, the strength of the team is paramount. By prioritizing the team's strategy over personal ambition, Norris exemplified true sportsmanship and the essence of collaboration. In any field, success is often a collective effort, and sometimes, teamwork must come before individual glory. Lando Norris's decision to let Oscar Piastri win at the Hungarian GP is a testament to the importance of teamwork in F1. Despite the temptation to secure a personal victory, Norris understood the bigger picture and the value of team strategy. This move not only highlights his professionalism but also reinforces the idea that even in individual sports, collective success often trumps individual accolades. Kudos to Norris and McLaren for demonstrating such exemplary teamwork! #F1 #grandprix #teamwork #Hungary #McLaren

🚨 Aston Martin F1: The Lawrence Stroll Effect 🚨 As much as Netflix’s Drive to Survive has painted Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll as a hard-nosed boss, the truth is that he’s proven to be one of the most transformative leaders in motorsport history. His strategic vision and relentless commitment to Aston Martin F1 have turned the team into a rising force. Let’s recap some of his major moves: - Rescued the team from bankruptcy before it became the Aston Martin F1 Team. - Doubled the workforce, bringing in top-tier talent, especially in partnerships and sales. 🏆 Signed two-time F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso, a massive win for team morale and performance. - Built a new factory and wind tunnel, positioning the team to excel under the 2026 regulation changes. - Convinced Honda to return to F1 as a power unit partner, securing future competitiveness. - Secured Aramco as a long-term partner, providing a financial backbone for growth. 🎯 And yesterday, he has brought on Adrian Newey—the most decorated motorsport designer—as not just an employee but a long-term shareholder/partner. Stroll’s leadership is not just about maintaining the status quo; he’s laying the foundation for Aston Martin to be a powerhouse in F1 for years to come. His business acumen and passion for the sport are undeniable. What are your thoughts on Aston Martin’s future under Stroll’s leadership? Do you think this latest move with Adrian Newey will give them the edge they need for future championships? #AstonMartinF1 #LawrenceStroll #F1 #Formula1 #Motorsport #DriveToSurvive #F1Leadership #AdrianNewey #FernandoAlonso #F1News #HondaF1 #Aramco #MotorsportInnovation #F1Business #F1Strategy #F1Regulations #FutureOfF1 #ManeContractServices

The Max Verstappen Mentality: I’m not a Max Verstappen fan… but after watching him in this past week’s Brazilian F1 race, I have to say – he’s earned my respect. Here’s why: Max started the weekend with a 5-spot grid penalty for taking a new engine. On top of that, due to some controversial officiating, he qualified 12th – which meant his starting position was 17th. To put that into perspective: less than 0.5% of F1 races have been won from 17th or lower. Max had every reason to feel defeated, but instead of letting the setbacks stop him, he raced with laser-sharp focus. He had a target. He knew his capabilities. He envisioned the win. And step by step, overtake by overtake, he got closer to that goal. The resilience and mental toughness on display this weekend offers some powerful lessons that we can all apply to our careers and personal lives: 1. When life knocks you down, don’t stay down. 2. Know yourself and your capabilities. 3. When the task ahead feels overwhelming, focus on one step at a time. 4. When you lose sight of your purpose, remember your end goal. Well done, Max. You’ve not only inspired me but, I hope, many others too. #Resilience #Focus #BusinessLessons #F1 #MaxVerstappen #Leadership #Mindset

𝗙𝟭 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: 𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 🏎️💸 In F1, and in finance, sometimes letting go is the hardest choice – but also the smartest. This weekend at the Mexico Grand Prix was a stark reminder of that. Sergio Perez, racing at home, qualified 18th and finished 17th, while teammate Max Verstappen, in 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳, started in 2nd, overcame a 20-second penalty, and still managed to finish 6th. Red Bull, once untouchable, has now slipped behind McLaren and 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘺𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘥𝘢𝘺 also lost ground to Ferrari in the Constructors' Championship. Even Red Bull’s team boss, Christian Horner, after the race hinted at the inevitable, saying, “At some point, difficult decisions need to be made.” While loyalty and legacy can make it hard to part ways, sometimes the secondary costs – low margins, missed opportunities, or reputational hits – can end up higher than the primary gains. In finance, we see this as a painful but necessary choice: a product, person, or process that once worked wonders can start weighing down the bottom line. “𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀” isn’t easy, but neither is staying stuck with what no longer works. Sometimes, tough decisions clear the path for new growth. #F1MeetsFinance #KillYourDarlings #FormulaFinance #RedBull #BusinessDecisions #FinanceLessons #SergioPerez #ConstructorsChampionship #McLaren #Ferrari

The future of Formula 1 will surprise many. It could change the careers of rising stars. What would you do if your big break in F1 was close, but might slip away? Max Verstappen, Super Inspiration! This morning, Max Verstappen clinched his 4th World Championship—a moment that cements his place among the greatest in Formula 1 history. It’s incredible to reflect on his journey since his debut in March 2015. My then 11-year-old son and I started following his career, sharing a passion for the sport I had also followed in the 90s, watching his father, Jos Verstappen. Jos often came close to the points but was held back by a smaller fuel tank—yet his determination was undeniable. Today, Max embodies that same grit but has taken it to stratospheric heights. His relentless drive, innovation, and teamwork are qualities that inspire me not only as a fan but as a professional leading teams in high-pressure environments. Formula 1 is a sport of engineering, precision, and strategy—a perfect metaphor for delivering software solutions that need to be both fast and flawless. Max reminds us that mastery comes from balancing raw talent with the ability to adapt and continuously improve. And speaking of mastery, a huge appreciation to Olav Mol and Jack Plooij, the real voices of Holland for Formula 1. Their commentary has brought excitement and atmosphere to every race, turning each Race Weekend into a click-zoom exciting experience. You’ve been part of the journey for all of us, and your passion amplifies the magic. To Max: You’re not just “Super Max,” you’re an inspiration to millions. Let’s keep striving for excellence, on and off the track! #Leadership #Innovation #MaxVerstappen #SuperMax #Formula1 #33mavverstappen #1 #M4X

I came across an interesting stat on Charles Leclerc and thought it was worth sharing! 🚗💨 Leclerc is currently on an impressive run, with 9 consecutive top-5 finishes—the longest active streak among all current F1 drivers. What stands out about this stat is not just its length, but the noticeable gap between him and his closest competitors. Here’s the breakdown of consecutive top-5 finishes: 1️⃣ Leclerc: 9 2️⃣ Russell: 2 3️⃣ Verstappen, Ocon, Gasly: 1 each 4️⃣ Norris, Piastri, Hamilton, Perez: 0 While Max Verstappen continues to dominate with wins, Leclerc’s consistency underscores a different kind of strength—reliability. His ability to stay in the top 5 race after race reflects both his skill and Ferrari’s steady growth. In a sport defined by speed and unpredictability, this kind of consistency is no small feat. It’s a good reminder that, while chasing championships is exciting, the smaller stats and streaks often tell the most compelling stories. Leclerc’s streak is definitely one to watch! 📈 Here’s hoping it continues strong (jinx protection activated! 🧂🧿). #Formula1 #CharlesLeclerc #Consistency #Ferrari #Top5

Check out my blog post. My second of the day serves as a discussion of the brewing championship battle between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris and whether a Max Verstappen victory or a Lando Norris comeback would have the most ramifications for the current Formula One grid as well as the record books. Check it out! https://wix.to/GtgRNGt #newblogpost
High-speed Thoughts: Between Lando and Max, who’s got the most to lose in the Driver’s Championship? Who’s victory would be more iconic?
