Two days ago, I lost a dear friend and mentor—Rohan Mirchandani, the co-founder of epigamia. I first met Rohan in 2018, and that meeting left an indelible mark on me. He shared his incredible journey—a Wharton and NYU graduate who chose to leave behind countless opportunities in the USA to come to India and create Epigamia—an iconic Indian brand that won the hearts of millions. In 2019, I had the honor of documenting Rohan’s journey as I featured Epigamia in my second book. Over the years, as the brand evolved from being synonymous with Greek yogurt to becoming a leader in value-added dairy products, I had the privilege of chronicling its remarkable growth in my fourth book. Through this process, I witnessed Rohan’s unwavering passion and determination firsthand. Rohan was not just a successful entrepreneur; he was a deeply genuine, kind, and selfless person. Despite his busy schedule, he always welcomed me warmly. My visits to his office were filled with thoughtful conversations, laughter, and generous samplings of Epigamia products. Those meetings often turned into lunches, where Rohan would listen attentively to my stories, celebrate my milestones, and inspire me to aim higher. Just last month, we met for lunch. Rohan was, as always, brimming with dreams and ideas. He promised his support for my journey and left me eagerly looking forward to our next meeting. The news of his passing has left me in shock. It’s hard to accept that I will never get to meet him again—at least in this lifetime. Rohan wasn’t just a mentor or a friend; he was like a brother—someone I could always count on for wisdom and encouragement. The world has lost not only a visionary entrepreneur but also a truly extraordinary human being. Rest in peace, my friend. You will always be deeply missed. 💔
