Shakthi Cooperative: A Case Study in Market Reform - Part 2 As Sri Lanka faces another rice crisis with artificial shortages and price manipulation, I'm continuing to share our experience with Shakthi Cooperative - an initiative that successfully challenged market oligopolies and put consumers first. Part 2 delves deeper into how we structured this cooperative to break traditional market barriers and create a sustainable model that benefited both consumers and small-scale traders. At its core, Shakthi wasn't just about controlling prices; it was about reimagining market dynamics for social good. With today's similar market challenges, these lessons in cooperative economics and market reform are more relevant than ever. Watch Part 2 to understand how systematic change is possible with innovative market solutions 🌾 #MarketReform #CooperativeEconomics #SriLanka #Innovation #PolicyReform #EconomicDevelopment

1moHarsha if everything to fall into correct path we as a Sri Lankan should stop racism. With this cannot develop the country. Take an example Middle East, East Asia are mostly developed and fast developing countries these are. Today all the religion race they are bread winner for the family who lives and earn. If our countrymen’s mind is positive so everything will work positively. We live in a gem rock. That’s money. 👏
