Product strategy changes a lot based on loudest voice. GTM strategy changes each quarter to make the number. 👆🏽is a fact of life. Strategies change, directions change. But stories persist. Employees, markets, investors, customers and partners remember stories long after strategies disappear. This is where PMMs shine. The best PMMs relentlessly hone and refine their company story, product story and value story. They have the superpower of being able to stitch these narratives from seemingly disparate strategies. Why were we founded? Who do we serve? Why are we here? Why should customers care? Where are we going? Why does this matter? Why is this different? Your story is your strategy.
