My best cold call tips: (9 ways to book more meetings) 𝗔𝗹𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗴𝗼: 1. Use a permission based opener with context: "Hey Jill - You might hate me because this is a cold call. But it's a well searched one about [insert context]. Have a moment? I'll be brief. 2. Be intentional with your dial times. Have blocks that start at 8:30am and 5:00pm because that's when pick up rates are usually the highest. 3. Don't spend too much time researching. I say keep it to 3 mins or less. Know exactly what you're looking for. Find it. And put it in your dialer so you can reference it with your opener. 4. Go for the close early and often. After your pitch ask "When it comes to [what you help with] what are your top priorities?" And then after they share: "That's exactly why we should meet. Open to a quick call to see how it works?" 5. Make your pitch all about the customer. Instead of talking about your product share 2 or 3 priorities you help similar people with or challenges that you solve. 6. Label accounts west coast, central and east coast. So you can easily call groups of contacts at the same time. Highly recommend investing in a tool like Nooks that can automate all of this and 10x your productivity. 7. Thing long term. If you don't book the meeting but learn something (like competitor) that's still a win. Use that to improve your messaging after some time has passed. 8. Make a cold call only sequence. That way, no other channels (like email or LinkedIn) slow things down. And you always have dial tasks to make each day. 9. Always be learning. Follow Sara Uy and listen to all her interviews. The best cold call strategies. (how to book meetings on repeat) 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀: 1. Focus first on calling "warmer" buyers. People who have visited your website. Have picked up the phone before. Have opened your emails. etc. 2. Calling early or later. So before 9 o'clock and after 4 o'clock. This is when calls are answered the most. Label accounts based on time zones so you can do this effectively. 3. Using a power dialer like Orum 🥇 or Nooks so you can call multiple people at the same time and increase your calls exponentially. 4. Using a permission based opener. No matter what anyone says these work when done well. My favorite is "Hey Jill - This is Mike at Deel. I know you didn't expect my call. Do you have a moment? I promise to be brief." 5. Start objection handling the same way every time that way you don't miss a beat. For example "I actually hear that all the time... [insert objection handle]" 6. Go for the close. Cold calls shouldn't last more than 5 mins. Once there's interest ask for the meeting. "Would you be open to taking a quick look and seeing how it all works?". 7. After the opener don't pitch. Ask a subject matter expert question based on problems your ICP usually has. "Thanks Jill - I'm reaching out because of X. Usually that means a couple of challenges for other [their role]'s I speak with. [insert 2 challenges]. Does that sound like your world at all or did I miss the mark? This guy knows what he's talking about. I especially like #3 and #4 - some of the most common objections (excuses) when the DM simply doesn't want to talk at the moment. Allows you to still hit your talking points even though there's a supposed mutual understanding that it's not the right time at the moment. This guy is a great follow for sales tips.

Ever feel like you’re pouring your heart into cold emails, only to hear crickets when it comes to booking meetings? You’re not alone—this is a common frustration we hear from many clients. Here’s a proven system we use to help our clients overcome cold email objections and consistently book 20-50+ meetings a month: 1. Head Off Objections: Don’t wait for prospects to voice their concerns; tackle them in your emails. If your industry has a reputation for leaving clients burnt, highlight your guarantee right from the start. For busy professionals, emphasize your done-for-you (DFY) solution. If feedback shows people hesitate when it’s payment time (common in software), consider offering a free trial. Anticipate their worries and address them upfront. 2. Offer Specific Times: Ditch the generic Calendly link. Suggest a few specific times for a call. Something like, “How about Tuesday at 10 AM, Wednesday at 3 PM, or Thursday at 1 PM?” It feels more personal and shows you value their time. It also gives the prospect no room to think or object as you’re doing all the thinking for them. 3. Be Available: Open up your calendar as much as you can. If prospects have to pick a time that doesn’t work for them, they might just pass. The easier you make it for them, the more likely they are to say yes. 4. Show Your Credibility: Share a quick success story or testimonial. Something like, “We helped [Company Name] boost their sales by 30% in just three months. Can I send you some more info on the exact process we used?” 5. Make It Personal: Use their name and reference something specific about their work or industry. A little personal touch can go a long way in making a connection. We recommend using Clay or Persona for data enrichment. 6. Invite Questions: Don’t shy away from objections—embrace them! Encourage your prospects to ask questions and express concerns. Do this after sending out your initial cold email and if the response sounds like they aren’t 100% ready to jump on a call/convert.

When you get a cold call objection say "I hear what you're saying" 😎 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀: Lead with empathy and ask a low friction question to keep the conversation going. 𝟲 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀: 1. Send me an email I hear what you're saying. Usually we help [persona] by [business outcome 1] and [business outcome 2]. Are either of those a priority for you? 2. We’re already using [competitor] I hear what you're saying. They're a great company and I've heard good things. How about this... would you like to hear how we helped [company] achieve [business outcome] after switching? That way you know what's out there in case you're ready someday. 3. We don’t have budget I hear what you're saying. These are definitely challenging times. How about I quickly share how we can help, that way you know what's out there once you're ready? 4. I’m not the right person I hear what you're saying. Usually [persona] are interested for [business outcome 1] or [business outcome 2]. Have an idea of who the right person would be for this? 5. It's not the right time I hear what you're saying. It's definitely a busy time of the year. Would you be open to hearing how we helped [customer] achieve [business outcome]? That way, you'll have a clear understanding of what's available when the time is right for you. 6. I’m not the decision maker I hear what you're saying. My best cold call structure. 5 steps to book meetings on repeat: 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟭. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿 No matter what anyone says. These work well. "Hey Sally, This is Mike with Deel, I know you didn’t expect me to call you this afternoon, do you mind if I take one minute to tell you why I called you specifically, and then you can tell me whether or not it makes sense to speak?" 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟮. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Once you get permission ask a problem focused question that demonstrates your subject matter expertise: "Typically when I talk to other [their role] that are [insert relevance] a couple of challenges are top of mind: 1. Challenge 1 2. Challenge 2 Are either of those relevant to you or did I miss the mark?" 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟯: 𝗢𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 Start all your objection responses the same way and ask a question at the end. For example... How to handle not interested: "I hear that all the time and totally understand – most sales leaders aren’t looking to change things. If it’s alright with you can I get 30 seconds to share the #1 way we help and then you can let me know if it makes sense for us to keep chatting?" 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟰: 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 Cold calls should not last more than 5 minutes -- the moment you have interest go for the close. “Awesome [Name], well look I know I called you out of the blue. Would you be against taking a look tomorrow afternoon or [Day] in the morning?” 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟱: 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Counterintuitive but save qualification questions for after the meeting's booked. "Before you hang up would it be alright if I asked 2 questions so we make the most out of our time tomorrow?"
