The deal marks Somerset’s first investment from its third fund, which is targeting to raise up to $275 million. The vehicle’s first close was made in August 2024 at $86 million with commitments from foreign and domestic LPs such as HDFC and Self Reliant India(SRI) Fund, among others. “The medical equipment sector is a strong growth area within healthcare,” said Mayur Sirdesai, Managing Partner at Somerset Indus Capital Partners. “This investment addresses the critical gap in servicing of medical equipment, especially in lower-tier markets. By providing timely servicing and offering refurbished equipment, Cyrix not only increases access to tertiary care but also ensures better patient outcomes in these regions,” Sirdesai added.
