The #RailwayInfrastructureSystem (#RIS) is an important building block on the way to making the railway sector more European, flexible and digital. With the integration of the - #CustomerInformationPlatform (#CIP), - #RailFacultyPortal (#RFP) and the - Telematics #CommonReferenceData (#CRD) into #RIS and the direct connection to #RINF, the different systems for describing and recording the European railway infrastructure have finally been combined and connected.
RNE in collaboration with the UIRR have created new opportunities to advance the #digitalisation of rail operations! The #RailFacilitiesPortal (#RFP) is now fully integrated into the #RailwayInfrastructureSystem (#RIS). This integration means that rail facilities are now digitally connected to the rest of the railway network. This connection establishes a foundation for their use in other digital services, similar to how they are already utilised in the Train Information System (#TIS). The #merger 🔹enhanced RFP’s functionality and #comprehensiveness, 🔹making #planning of rail services even more effective, 🔹improving the operational #efficiency, and 🔹corresponds to the Service Facilities Operators legal obligations, such as #Directives (EU) 2012/34/EU and (EU) 2177/2017.
