"Mindfulness meditation doesn’t change life. Life remains as fragile and unpredictable as ever. Meditation changes the heart’s capacity to accept life as it is." — Sylvia Boorstein Meditation nurtures the heart’s ability to embrace life’s unpredictability with grace and resilience. In a world full of uncertainty, it’s this quiet strength of the heart that helps us move forward with more empathy and compassion. ♥️ if you agree. 📘 PS: If you're interested in exploring how mindfulness impacts our heart’s health—physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually—check out the section in Chapter 4 of my new book “Just One Heart” on "The Power of Mindfulness: Bridging Mind and Heart for Holistic Health." Mindfulness helps us to change on the inside…helps us to change the way we look at things externally & reframe the story we create/react to… “when we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change” Wayne Dyer💗
Sylvia Boorstein’s quote reminds me of the Serenity Prayer, Jonathan. Mindfulness practice can move us closer to a state of serenity. It doesn’t solve all of our problems but it can give us the peace of mind to hear our own inner voice guiding us toward some of the answers we seek.
I tell my clients the metaphor of the conveyor belt of life. There’s always going to be things on it. It’s about how you relate to those things that you can change. So many ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love this Jonathan Fisher, MD, FACC, meditation helps you to ride the inevitable waves of uncertainty and discord with more ease. Life shakes you less when you’re grounded.
Jonathan Fisher, MD, FACC thank you for sharing this. It’s an important point to hold and understand. Only transformation from within changes life on the outside.
Heart capacity. How rich is that idea! Maybe we could start measuring that as an outcome for intervention? Keep inspiring Jonathan Fisher, MD, FACC!
Couldn't agree more - I find it very interesting that there's the physiological aspect of this... HRV
Beautiful message! The mindfulness experienced during a meditative moment (movement or behavior) provides a self-nurturing space to reframe our perspective, and to open our heart.
