SU 57 presents radar on both sides of the plane (in addition with the radar on the front of the plane) and these radars work in L-band and X-band. I wonder what is the power of such radar What a sniper! I wonder how many radars the scaf would be equipped. The dream of Dassault is to transform the skin of the plane of a big sensor to see all around the plane. What a challenge!
SU-57 : GAME CHANGER ?

You can all thank Robi Sen and his original post for this massive tag up because LinkedIn doesn't do attachments in comments. The best #CUAS defense, regardless of threat type, is striking left of launch. If this isn't a possibility, detection, identification, and mitigation needs to begin at the longest ranges possible. Rapid detection and identification remain the keys to the CUAS kingdom, as if you don't see it, you can't stop it. Layered #sensors and effectors are required for any serious CUAS defense efforts of fixed positions. For CUAS at the squad level, lightweight RF/EW gear is required, and the more sensors that can be brought to bear, the better. UAVs and aerostats are key technologies that can be exploited to create more effective CUAS defensive and offensive options. Human factors are definitely topics to discuss, but are very hard to quantify for modeling and simulations. Please feel free to rip this up, add thoughts, and correct any errors or blind spots.

Ever wondered how radar target emulation of multipath effects is possible over-the-air? Well, then hurry up and see my colleague Arvid Sims presenting his paper on "Emulation of Multipath Effects With Automotive Radar Test System" at ICMIM 2024 in Boppard, Germany, on Wednesday, April 17th! He'll provide valuable insights, how these effects are shaping up and how our Radar Scene Emulator uniquely is able to emulate these effects appropriately for OTA tests. After all, these effects need to be well understood and can be used for ghost detection or height estimation (see interference pattern in the diagram). #Radar #HiL #Keysight #RadarSceneEmulator #RTS #AutomotiveRadar
