Last week, I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in ASTM International 5th Annual Autonomy in Aviation Symposium as a panelist. Our panel had a great discussion around aircraft simulation systems, autonomous driving and connected vehicle platforms. I always appreciate the opportunity to hear insights from some of the key leaders working in this exciting space, including Steve Basra, David Mann and Germán Ros. In particular how simulations and data play a critical role in developing AI systems. Looking forward to more dialogues like this! A big thank you to Fahad Khan for moderating the conversation and to my Northrop Grumman colleague Stephen Cook for leading this engaging event.
Han, thanks for being part of the event this year. Maybe next year we can expand on this panel and also add a panel that highlights some lessons learned from spaceborn autonomy success.
It was great listening to what y’all had to say. Appreciate you taking the time to help share your knowledge!
Awesome!

4wSuper grateful to be among the league of extraordinary gentlemen who have single-handedly impacted aerospace, defense, automotive, and tech industries. Truly honored to have Steve Basra (Google, ex CTO Hyundai AutoEver, ex CEO Toyota Connected) and Germán Ros (NVIDIA, Embodied AI Foundation, inventor of CARLA Simulator - world's most popular sim for autonomous driving research) join Han Park to offer a look into the future. Big thanks to ASTM International, Stephen Cook (Northrop), Wes Ryan (Northrop), and Mark Blanks (Alphabet/Google's Wing Aviation) for their leadership and doing the crucial work on autonomy standards.
