It is my last day as Talent & Assessment Director here, and I can’t help but look back at my relationship with all things LBG related over the last 20 years… 📋Chapter 1 - 2004: A Clinical neuropsychologist newly joined YSC Consulting, part of Accenture - a few months in, learning the ropes and still being supervised on EDPs (executive development profiles) for LBG leaders from the housing division - if memory serves. What a steep learning curve that was, having come from the NHS and MoD - trying to interpret individual assessment data in the context of unfamiliar corporate leadership benchmarks and business need. 🏥Chapter 2 - 2017: By now, running my own consultancy www.hriazconsults.com - but the clinical & corporate parts of my private practice were still operating separately and I continued to feel professionally split down the middle. Along comes GEC sponsorship for a 2 yr multi-disciplinary resilience programme for the senior leadership group. Who knew LBG would be first out of gates to fully leverage clinical psychology thinking / frameworks to harness the relationship between executive wellbeing & performance? It was a dream gig and I’d finally found my sweet spot. 🔬Chapter 3 - 2023: Having spent 3 yrs in a business based HR role Volvo Group I moved into my first Centre of Excellence HR role tempted by the blank page remit to build a new in-house service from the ground up. And so, Prescient @LBG was born - it’s a no-brainer that psychometric data, 360 feedback, engagement scores and personal brands can be leveraged to identify leadership strengths and gaps in a powerfully holistic & integrated way. But if 5yrs ago, anyone had said that LBG would be the place we’d get the chance to reimagine Talent & Assessment as a digital first UX, I would have struggled to believe. So, having just finished the final handover session with my successor and with a super-exciting 2025 route map signed off, this is a fond farewell for the third time. A huge thank you to my amazing team, associates and contractors, our early adopters in People & Places, our steadfast external partners, and our senior executive champions. I’ll be watching with interest as the Group embarks on year 4 of the transformation journey and cheering all your successes from the sidelines. From tomorrow, I’ll revert to being a longstanding customer again. Three generations of my family bank with LBG and I can say with confidence and not a small amount of pride, that we are in good hands. Signing off. Au Revoir 💚 #lbg #HelpingBritainProsper #GrowFocusChange #LoveToWorkAtLBG #HRInnovation #TalentStrategy
